ABC Hotel by Reykjavik Keflavik Airport

Sparse to say the least . It was a concrete box with 3 beds.( old military base ) On the plus side , it was clean and had a nice bath room. On the negative side. We arrived after dark, The Parking lot was dark and there was just enough light to allow you to depict three large and full dumpsters at its edge. Not sure where you would dare park. The entrance was dark, with no one at the reception desk. On the counter was a list of names of people that hadn't checked in yet complete with room numbers AND the codes for each individual room. So we could easily have had access to anyone's room on the list. ( not a very secure feeling - Luckily all the people we had met so far in Iceland were very freindly, so that put our minds at ease a bit ) But not an area you'd take an evening strole in. There was no shuttle and no information on how to get a ride to the airport 2 miles away. Quite pricey when you consider that for less than $100 more., we could have booked a more traditional hotel with amenities and shuttle service to catch an early flight. All in all it would not have been all that bad had the description made things a bit clearer. Just stating that it would accommodate four was acurate but left quite a bit out.

This booking was last minute as I’ve missed my flights to New York. It was €120 a little bit expensive but it was a last minute thing…… THERE ARE NO FOOD FACILITIES, OTHER THAN ABENDING MACHINE, WHICH WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING NO BREAKFAST, INCLUDING CONSIDERED THE HIGH PRICE

Please do not waste your money on this place, we booked a room and they sent us our room number and door code to get in since it's a self check in. We had a late flight in and unfortunately our door code didn't work, after trying to call, email, message and WhatsApp the property for 2 hours straight we gave up and rented a much better place downtown that had somebody working the front desk. The property got back to me several hours after us booking the new hotel only to let us know that they had given us the wrong room number, was promised a refund and never received one. Totally ripped off and hotels.com couldn't help me get a refund because they couldn't reach the property, what a surprise.

Our family had 10-day road trip in a campervan. We stayed our last night in hotel. It is better than what we expected. Spacious, clean and convenient to airport.

Basic accommodation, but clean and comfortable. Perfect as a place to sleep coming off a flight or the night before an early flight. The walls are super thin so you can hear people talking in the room next door.

We only needed one night stay as a layover and it was a perfect location. Quick taxi ride to and from the airport and 100m to a deli/diner for a quick meal. The receptionist was great and very accommodating, allowing us to have a late checkout. Clean and spacious rooms too.

It is a convenient hotel very close to the airport. The outside of the hotel and the hallway are a little run down, but the room was large and clean. The check in process was super efficient with the door code texted to me prior to arrival, so we never had to stop by the front desk.

We were arriving on a midnight flight. The ABC Hotel was conveniently close at a good price. It was basic looking but the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was new and clean. Perfect for a quick one-night layover. The hotel was easy to communicate with before we arrived and sent information to check-in remotely as we were arriving out of office hours.

This is a super convenient property if you are flying out of KEF. It is refurbished military barracks. I remember visiting my brother (Navy officer) here in the 1970s. It was advertised as simple and it is very simple. Be sure to include your email so you can get your check-in information. It was the largest room we had a polar hotels in Iceland, but the bathroom was not very functional as the shower Overflowed and the sink was tiny in a massive bathroom. The staff was awesome. Only two places to eat dinner and the hotel next-door had breakfast. The room did have a refrigerator so going to the Public Deli (restaurant and store near by) for dinner and grabbing food for breakfast was adequate. And it was clean. Staff got us exactly what we needed for a taxi in the morning.

We really appreciate hotel service. I accidentally booked wrong days and very easily modified without any trouble. We like the location and convenience for airport shuttle. The room is very large and price is so great!
