Boutique hotel above a bustling pub in a historic building. Beautiful architectural features. Pub is a local hangout. Easy walk to Swords castle, restaurants & shopping. 5 min from airport. Enjoyed our stay. Parking lot is tiny, so if you arrive in late afternoon, they’ll have to give you a voucher to park offsite.

We spent our last night in Ireland at The Old Borough. It's an interesting old building that has been renovated into a nice pub and inn. The room was spacious with unique decor and comfortable bedding. The shower worked well, though it did let a good bit of water out onto the floor. Otherwise, the room was comfortable and quiet. Parking is very limited, but we lucked out and were able to park at the property. Street parking is available, but it is a busy street. The Old Borough is on the main street through Swords, and is a short walk to the castle and many good dining options. It's a very short drive from Dublin Airport, so super convenient if you've got an early flight. After a week of driving around the North & West of Ireland, The Old Borough was the perfect place to stay before flying out the next morning.

For a pub airport hotel it was good. Could have been cleaner. Lot of dust bunnies. AC filters dirty. THE WIFI was terrible.. Shouldn’t advertise free WIFI if it doesn’t work well

We chose this hotel because of the location near the airport (just 6 minutes away) and ease of drop off for the rental cars. Parking was very challenging (limited spots shared with the pub in the same building and part of the hotel). To reach the elevator, luggage had to be taken through the pub / restaurant. We had 2 rooms. Room 103 (the family room) had a very strong mildew (mold) odor in the bathroom that caused us not to want to take showers there. It seemed unhealthy to us. The room itself was nice, but could have been a bit cleaner and the coils on the extra bed (pull out couch for our daughter) were popping out and very uncomfortable to sleep on. The other room (room 114) had no windows, just a sky light and was very odd.

Very friendly and helpful staff, but sometimes a little sparse: in the morning, one person had to do everything for the hotel, the bar, and the restaurant. Fun pub on site, filled with local people. A great Italian restaurant, Empoli, across the street.
Close and convenient to the airport, by bus or taxi. A great value: about 1/3 the price of other hotels near the airport.
We were given a handicapped room, which has a weird bathroom: you had to stoop to brush your teeth and the shower was difficult. On the other hand, being next to the elevator was very helpful!

We stayed here the night before our flight out of Dublin. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and the condition. The beds are very comfortable. Pub is handy as well.
