Hotel Not Hotel Rotterdam

It was easy to find this hotel from Centraal Station, less than 5 minutes walk. I found the staff friendly and welcoming with check in smooth and efficient. I stayed in the Candy Room which was small but comfortable with plenty of hot water in the shower. If you don't like stairs don't choose this room as there is a fairly steep flight of stairs up to it. The advantage being there is only one room at the top so it is very quiet and has it's own en suite. Breakfast was buffet style and the usual selection of pastries, cereals, yogurt, eggs and meats, coffee, tea and fruit juice. I liked the quirky decor and feel of this hotel which was relaxed and friendly and would certainly stay there again.

Great place to stay, central location, easy for train travel and walking distance into the city. Hotel was easy to find, friendly staff, quirky rooms and had everything we needed. We stayed in a secret bookcase room. Good value for money and would definitely stay again. Loved the welcome note and oregame tulip on arrival, very welcoming.

All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. The welcome tour of the different room styles was a lovely touch - travelling child had put a lot of thought into deciding which one to pick. The location really worked for us - walkable for markets (do Binnenrotte if you’re in town Sat or Tues, not just the Markthal), street art and town generally, and kids playground nearby. And effortless for train station. GHG rooftop (til end of 2023) is at tgd end of the block. Bed was comfy, loads of hot water, room quiet, good curtains, 11am checkout. Only had a glass of wine in the bar, but the menus and cocktails looked excellent and again the staff were super, the vibe was great on Friday night.

The rooms are a very unusual layout and not well suited for business travellers. My room had a strong odor which I believe was from the glue in the floor On the upside the breakfast area is nice and the people who work there are friendly Location is also pretty good with <5min walk to central station
