What a wonderful hotel! The beds were the most comfortable I have experienced in all of Norway. Loved the large family room- especially the blackout curtains and the free coffee/ hot chocolate was a nice welcome. Walkable to the downtown area and tons of gorgeous restaurants. On street parking was easy and not too expensive. Only picky complaint is that the shower was so small (the bathroom itself is huge). Would definitely stay again!

Excellent location when traveling by ferry, less than a 5 minute walk to terminal. Very welcoming staff at reception, dining and housekeeping. Excellent breakfast options. 24 hour coffee/tea/hot chocolate available and much appreciated.

Hotel Noreg is in a great location in Ålesund. We found it was easy walking to the Havila ferry terminal, shopping, bus stop, restaurants, and the harbor. The rooms and common areas are clean and comfortable. The breakfast has many options and runs for several hours so there is no need to rush. Most importantly the staff is kind and very helpful. We booked two rooms for one night on our arrival and then booked two rooms for 3 nights on our departure. Both stays were excellent.

I stayed for 2 nights, on 2 different days. Breakfast was excellent, wide variety. Second night I heard a dog barking, not sure if the hotel was pet friendly. Close by the waterfront. Paid parking from 8-4pm, but you could only pay 2 hrs max which is odd. Checkout is 12 pm, but bc you can only park for 2 hrs , I had to checkout at 10am.

Only stayed in Alesund for 2 days. Hotel Noreg was perfect for my stay. I didn’t want to pay for a fancy hotel and found this establishment on Expedia. It is perfectly situated in town and everything is in walking distance from the hotel. The staff were all very pleasant, helpful and welcoming. I recommend this hotel for travelers who just want to stay in a nice comfortable hotel.

This hotel is only a block away from the Skatefluaia bus stop, where the airport bus stops and the tourist info office is located. I reserved their basic room, which was small but clean and nicely appointed; it appears to have been remodeled not long ago.
The hotel staff were extremely helpful, accommodating and patient with my barrage of questions on a first visit to Ålesund. Breakfasts were very good also.
I couldn't have been happier and will plan to stay with Hotel Noreg on my next visit.

Well located v nice and knowledgeable staff and parking was truely close by. Also had some decent vegan options for the included breakfast which really made my stay much more comfortable!
