Blue Horizon Boutique Resort - Adults Only

First time female solo traveler and this boutique hotel was a gem. Very quiet and beautiful. It’s small with only about 12 rooms I believe but the property is lovely. I felt safe, comfortable and relaxed.

The property itself is beautiful, and conveniently located for those wanting to be minutes away from Esperanza. Also free parking on-site is convenient for those renting golf carts or cars to visit different parts of the island. The welcome experience we nice, and hotel staff were friendly. We had a smooth check-in experience. The rooms were also clean when we arrived, and well appointed. Note that there is no TV in the room (fine for us since we spent most of our time outdoors). Service at this hotel is not up to the mark considering how much you are paying. - We had to repeatedly ask for our room be be refreshed despite putting up the card on our door the clean our room. - The restaurant on the property was overpriced and below average. The food options were limited (they didn’t have the lobster on the menu), and quality of food was average. You can get much better food outside for much cheaper at the numerous other establishments in Esperanza. - The power went out one afternoon. When we told the hotel staff there was no power, they just shrugged it off and told us that “it’s in the hands of the power company”. For the amount they charge, consider getting some sort of power backup.

We missed our flight to Vieques, but the staff was very nice and swiftly made arrangements for us so that we can make it to the bio bay tour

This place was just fabulous. Such beauty, the views, the staff, the night sky and the exclusivity feeling that you get from the place. Everything was fabulous. There were a lot of mosquitoes in the room but everything else was so perfect that it was worth it. Stayed an extra two nights because of how wonderful it was. The food was great at the restaurant and the drinks were delicious at the bar. The young lady that worked there went out of her way to drive us to our tour because taxis weren’t available at the time and we were going to miss it if we tried walking. Thank you again that was very kind of you;)

Great view of the ocean! The place is quiet and nice! All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful! It is right next to a horse riding company and only 5min walk if you take a short path. We didn’t rent a car and it is about 20min walk to Esperanza which is manageable. At night the road is dark and they didn’t recommend us to walk and it is only 5min by taxi. If you also decide to take a taxi, it is strongly recommended to double check with your taxi driver half an hour before the scheduled time. We booked the taxi in the morning to pick us up later in the afternoon but the taxi driver forgot us so we had to urgently call another taxi driver, luckily the other one is not too far away so we didn’t miss our Biobay kayaking.

Blue Horizon came very handy on a Saturday upon arrival to Vieques after a mixup from Airbnb. We were welcomed as if we had booked weeks in advance. The only small critique is that the place isn’t walking distance from Esperanza’s bars and restaurants strip, and one will need a cab, which are a fine commodity in the Island. A shuttle van for the Hotel would be great!

Cannot say enough about how we fell in love with this property. First starting with the ease of booking a taxi from the airport. We sent a msg and it was answered back in a timely manner with all the details we needed. From our arrival the front desk did everything to accommodate us while we waited for our room to be ready including a complimentary glass of champagne. We proceeded to order lunch at the hotel restaurant and were never disappointed with any of the meals, in fact we preferred to eat at the hotel over the local restaurants. The hotel manager Evette, went out of her way to make sure we had beach chairs and an umbrella at the ready. Our room was a great addition. It was large, clean and very nicely decorated and we had a great view. We met the most fantastic waitress,Ivy who made our stay even more special, she was charming, attentive, funny and an asset to the resort. She is a big reason why we would return. We met fantastic couples and truly enjoyed our stay. The wild horses coming up to you, the romantic setting and the amazing view will also have us coming back. Again can’t say enough great things about this place, we were so sad to leave.

The Blue Horizon was absolutely perfect. My wife and I stayed as we traveled through Puerto Rico and completely fell in love with the place. Coco and the staff were amazing and the grounds/view were surreal. We will definitely be back.
