First time to St. Croix and chose this part of the island for the beach and quietness. This property was very nice unfortunately when we got there at 5 o’clock on Saturday, we were informed that their dinner service will not be available and it wasn’t available for the four nights that we stayed there, that was a huge, huge disappointment. We did not rent a car as we wanted to eat at the property, although they had breakfast and lunch which was decent. there were restaurants about 7/10 of a mile and then further to about a mile there was more stores and restaurants. It would be really nice if the property had bicycles to borrow or use or even rent. I did not want to rent a car due to driving on the left-hand side. We took a taxi one day to go to the other side of the island. Taxi service is extremely expensive, but still cheaper than renting a car if you don’t plan on traveling much. I will revisit this property in a couple of years.

If you want a quieter experience on the island, this is the spot! The owners are super sweet and very attentive.
They have snorkels and beach spots for free for hotel guests. We had a blast snorkeling.
The rooms are older and not quiet. Anything you do in the room will be heard.
The continental breakfast is incredibly limited. It’s a-little disappointing.
I would recommend renting a car if you stay for a longer period so you don’t have to wait and pay for taxis every day. Also, Christiansted is bigger but quite an expensive taxi ride.
Come in the busy season. After April, the island is dead and the temperatures are much hotter and stale. Also you can see the sea turtles on the other places of the islands before they are shut down for nesting.
Overall. Great experience.

Disclose that it’s not a typical resort you would visit while traveling that it is somewhat secluded and not around ANY tourist attractions.

The resort's owners and most of the staff were friendly, personable, and helpful. Fredriksted has some historic points of interest but the area is very poor. Christiansted seems to have more affuent neighborhoods, but dining and shopping is limited.
The shopkeepers we encountered were very friendly and helpful in most instances. We didn't make it to the north shore, but read it is more developed.
You cannot beat the sunsets by the beach at the resort in the evening. We parked our rental car in the designated lot across the street from resort and had no issues. One of the owners opened up a space for us to park when the lot was full. But most times, there are ample spaces. Many of the guests are repeat customers and were friendly and helpful with sightseeing suggestions. The restaurant and bar is good, but I recommend going for lunch or brunch when it's less busy. It was refreshing to stay at a resort that takes an active interest in its guests. Most big chain hotels treat guests like numbers. Recommend highly for LGBTQ travelers!

Sand Castle on the Beach was the perfect stay for my husband and I! We had a late-flight arrival. The owners were the ones that welcomed us to the their hotel and checked us in.
The villa we stayed in was only a few yards away from the ocean, with AMAZING VIEWS. The outdoor shower at our villa was one of my favorite areas.
The ocean water was calm and perfect for snorkeling. The staff and restaurant food were top notch.
Ted and Chris thank you for making our stay one of a kind. We felt like we were surrounded by family during our entire stay.
You can tell the owners have a great team of employees and are invested in the community of St. Croix.
Ted give us a call if you are ever in our area (Hereford) visiting family. We would love to repay you for being so kind and accommodating.

Great property, but a little inconvenient that you could not smoke outside on your balcony and had to walk down flights of stairs to walk across the street if you wanted a smoke.

The property was relaxing and very private. I loved that there was a star fruit tree right outside our room. The property is right on the beach where you can relax and enjoy drinks for purchase from a beach server. The property is a decent walk away from some local restaurants but the best way to travel is to rent a car! Any questions while on the island, the staff is more then willing to help!

As corporate pilots we chose this property since it was closer to airport. Two negatives were restaurant not open for breakfast and one of rooms was very noisy overnight.

The room was very quiet & clean which was great for those who like to sleep in late. The restaurant and the entire property was very clean and quiet as well. The staff was super friendly & above all we felt safe, which was very important for two gals traveling alone. If we visit St. Croix again we will only stay at Sand Castle. It was the best hotel on the island and the highlight of our trip.
