In all my years of traveling, I have never had to pay for breakfast at a HIExp.... It's only $5 but it's the principal

The hotel was really nice. Clean, modern and large room. When we arrived there was no one manning the front desk. Waited 15 minutes for staff to appear. Also there was a travel baseball team staying at the hotel and the kids were slamming doors and carrying on loudly in the hallways until at least midnight.

I loved the short walk to Big Texan, the food was great! The hotel was easy to get to, easy parking, room was super clean and bed had plenty of pillows!!

Not specific to this hotel but Amarillo in general is lacking in transportation to the airport. The hotel is only 2 miles from the airport but for early or late flights transportation will not pick pick up or drop off.

Staff was so friendly! I arrived late and the restaurant stayed late to accommodate me (I had been driving all day and was soooo hungry when I got in). There is plenty of parking (great for trailers). Room was clean and quiet. In the morning, my truck wouldn't start and the nice lady at the counter, without hesitation, offered to put up her "Be Back in 5 Minutes" sign and give me a jump. I couldn't recommend this hotel more. A all around.

This is a new hotel on the East side of town, just off the I-40 exit (and next door to the famous Big Texan steakhouse). It was super convenient to pull right into the parking lot after a long road trip. It was remarkably quiet-being so close to the freeway.

We travel a lot and often stay in Holiday Inn Express hotels - this one is clean and new… only downfall is that they charge $5 per person for their shoddy continental breakfast. Never been to a HIE that charges for breakfast. Otherwise - a great stay!

The hotel room was clean but we didn’t have hot water for our showers. It was very disappointing to not able to wash up from a long day of traveling. I did contact the front desk but their maintenance man was not there to fix the problem.
