From the start our toilet was clogged before we even used it and it took some time for the clerk to come fix it because he apparently was the only one working. He had to leave and go to the airport leaving no one at the front desk. Upon his return he had to deal with a homeless person sleeping in the stairwell and kick him out. In the parking lot there was a truck that looked like a homeless person was sleeping in because it had cardboard all over the inside of the windows. The clerk was very nice and apologized several times. He did finally come and fix the toilet but it was so late that I couldn’t even enjoy the big bath tub in the suite. We were tired and just wanted to go to bed after our travels.

our door was open when we arrived. We soon realized it was because the room key device in the door handle didn't work. I reported this to the front desk, but they told me i had to hold the handle up. That didn't work either. i had no trouble getting into the laundry room, so that tells me the room door key entry system was broken. the security arm was also broken for our room door. I am appreciative of the laundry room, plus only needed one cycle to dry, so the machines worked well. Also appreciated the 24 hour coffee and the lemon water in the lobby. Airport shuttle was much appreciated, too, and ran on time.

The place seemed very rundown. The shuttle service was pleasant and as a bonus, we saw a moose outside the front door, but it does need some work work.

The good: quiet (mostly), straight shot to the airport, beds were comfortable, shower water pressure fine, the front desk personnel were friendly, evidence left, if you know what I mean, of moose activity in the immediate area, wifi was serviceable.
The bad: not enough towels for party size listed, electrical outlets beside beds were difficult to get to (under a floating night stand), a strange mirror stretched across the entire room above the headboards, and an 80s style 'shop lite' provided overhead lighting. The parking lot has garbage strewn about, including a baby practice toilet seat.
The ugly: bath tub would not drain fast enough so soon you stood ankle deep in water (yes I checked and tried to ensure it was fully open), house keeping left us with a dirty toilet, the shampoo bottles were empty (not replaced), front staff did not understand what a wash cloth was (looked puzzled), the first floor hall smelled horribly of cleaning fluid and curry.

The staff was AMAZINGLY kind. I caught a cold on my travels and just desperately wanted to get into my room and rest. The man behind the counter was very kind and checked me in an hour early.

Due to the world wide internet issue, I didn’t arrive in Anchorage until 4:30 in the morning. I got to the hotel via Lift as no one was answering the phone for the free airport shuttle.
I get there and the man behind the counter, when asked about the shuttle starts telling me about someone smoking in their room. I asked what that had to do with the shuttle and he became defensive. He was very blunt and with his Indian accent, I couldn’t tell exactly what he was saying.
I tried to check into my room and he said that I could not…that it was not the same day as the reservation. I told him that check out was 11 and I just wanted to get a few hours sleep and a shower. He said only the manager could allow that and he would not be there till 10. When I told him I already paid for the room ($300+ due to the day before reservation) he told me that he didn’t like my attitude and the way I was talking to him. He turned his back on me and started typing on his computer.
I went to my son’s room in the same hotel to shower. They showed me all the issues in their room…including the dripping ceiling outside of their room with black mold all around it.
I was short with him due to no free shuttle and unanswered phone for 35-40 minutes. His attitude and actions were completely unacceptable and will be forwarded to the Baymont system…worst customer service ever!!!

We were a little early and the desk clerk was very put out with us. We had to leave and come back later. She was nice then. Room was large and comfortable and very close to airport
