Nice clean property, friendly staff, homeless population is a little concerning but my car was not impacted. They should fence the parking area and not allow loitering.

The rooms had a very old feel to them, the parking was atrocious and the area is very unsafe. There were not enough parking spaces at the hotel and some of the other guests were quite unsavoury. Our room smelt of campfire in the morning and the bedding was not very enjoyable. This hotel would not be our first choice for a place to stay.

I’ve stayed here a number of times the night before the Ragnar relay race. It’s safe enough and clean. The parking lot is small and it’s in the back of a hotel cluster. Not a destination and can be loud when guests aren’t quiet, but serves the purpose of a place to rest your head. Staff are courteous and efficient. Coffee is pretty terrible, but Starbucks is across the parking lot.

We arrived late (10pm) with a small 13’ travel trailer and the parking lot was full except for some places out back which appeared to be next to a homeless camp and no security lights or cameras. The best we could get was promise that if we moved as soon as we could in the morning, they wouldn’t have us towed from the no parking zone. There seems to be a large home population wandering around the neighborhood at all hours of the day. The Jack in the Box had speakers on all night loudly proclaiming that Jack in the Box was private property and that loitering would not be permitted. It’s a shame that the hotel does not have adequate parking for RVs and the homeless wandering around made us feel uncomfortable.

Great location near the airport. Very clean. Good breakfast. Our room was not refreshed on a day we expected it to be.

Right next door to Fred Meyer, so that's convenient. Starbucks across the lot. Plenty of parking. Clean rooms. Free breakfast. I'd stay here again.

What I found that made a positive impression on me was the lady at the front desk named "Ann" she made my self created screw ups on my online booking get resolved with such a kind and positive attitude that I have already shared the experience with 3 people I know in my business circles about the services and over all great place to stay on business travel. Thank you La Quinto and Thank You Ann for such a pleasant overnight stay

I travel the country for a living. Hotel stays are a regular occurrence. It doesn’t take much for a hotel to receive an average rating from me. As long as they can provide a comfy bed, a warm shower, a tv with decent channels and laundry facilities, I’m content.
La Quinta, in Bellingham, definitely provided all those things. Huge bathrooms, very comfy bed, big screen tv, and it was surprisingly cheap to wash and dry clothes ($1.00 per load). They had an excellent hot breakfast and a pool with a sauna too. Amenities were above average in my opinion. As a whole, the hotel itself was lovely.
What separates one hotel from next has nothing to do with amenities. It has everything to do with customer service and the way I feel checking in, out and everywhere in between. Upon arrival at La Quinta, I was greeted and checked in by a wonderful young man named Angel. Very pleasant, helpful and good conversation. I was impressed and happy with my decision to stay there.
I wasn’t exactly sure how long I would be staying, so I had to rebook several times. The day after I arrived, I rebooked another night. This time, it wasn't Angel checking me in. It was someone who wasn’t pleasant. They were very cold and let out a sigh anytime I asked a question…like I was stressing them out. It was like night and day. Angel’s customer service skills should be modeled by the rest of the staff. I could give a 5 star rating then.
