This was a very good experience overall. I think the service at breakfast could be improved, and the options at practice could also be better. The biggest hassle was the valet parking, which didn’t really work at all. They had an app and it was trying to text me, and it didn’t work. This caused delays. But overall, it was OK room nice facility nice people.

The staff goes above and beyond to greet you, explain where everything is located, and even sent a text asking if the room was ok! No one walked past me without speaking! There was plenty of parking lots around. Good walking distance to plenty of restaurants. The room was clean and mattress was comfortable! I wish the room had a refrigerator.

The hotel itself was fantastic: very clean, good price, comfortable beds, and kind staff. My only complaint is the parking. I spent 30 min driving in circles trying to find parking before I finally gave up and paid the $40 to valet park my car for one night. There are many lots nearby, but they are private lots not for apartment residents in surrounding buildings. They really need a dedicated nearby lot for guests to park in. I would not stay again for that reason alone.

I stayed at the "Kelly Birmingham" in Birmingham, Alabama and wanted to share my thoughts on this Hotel.
I was very impressed with The "Kelly Birmingham " and it's cleanliness and charm. The room was in tip top shape, along with the crisp linens and size of the room. No dust or trash observed. The restroom was immaculate with bright soft white heavy duty bath towels and washcloths. The room was very quiet, no sounds from the hallway or other rooms. They have a restaurant and bar , again outstanding cleanliness noted. Everyone from security to front desk went out of their way oozing hospitality in abundance. Left a wakeup call and it came right on time. I will surely be staying with them again. Oh yes, they have V.parking. In my words they hit it out of the park.
Thank you , Kelly Birmingham on a job well done!!

I enjoyed the stay and most importantly the original room I had the tv did not work and with me traveling with a small child to be without a tv would have been miserable. The manager moved us to another room as the hotel was fully booked and he gave us the last room. That meant a great deal to us and that’s going above and beyond by making our trip that much enjoyable!!!!

I had high hopes for this spot when I booked it. However, the hotel has no parking, except for very expensive Valet and a parking garage a block away. I arrived in a rainstorm so I wasn't going to walk a block in the rain. The valet guys were super nice, but a hassle that there wasn't any parking close.
The kitchen staff didn't show up in the morning. So there was no breakfast. The desk staff did say that they would cover breakfast costs if I went to a sister hotel a few blocks away. I wasn't real interested in getting dressed to go 3 or 4 blocks for breakfast, just to come back and get all of my stuff ready. So that was a big disappointment.
The guym was okay. It didn't have a "multi-machine" but had a lot of dumbells and cardio equipment.
The room and bathroom were nice, just wasn't as happy as I thought I would be with the rest of it.

Hotel itself is cool. LOVED the vibe/decor - especially the downstairs areas. Reception attendant was very friendly.
They ONLY have valet parking, which adds another ~$40 to the bill ($35 tax/tip). If valet is mandatory, they should add it to the hotel bill AHEAD of time as part of the additional fees (so no one is surprised). The valet was one of our worst experiences. When we checked in, he told us to text when we need our car. We had dinner reservations at 8:15 & sent our valet a text at 8:06 (restaurant was right down the road). We waited for our car for almost 25 minutes! After the initial text, we had to ask him to get our car TWICE. We ended up being 30 minutes late for our dinner reservation! Thank goodness we were only in town for 1 night, because I can't imagine having to wait that long EVERY TIME we needed our car! When we returned, there was no valet in sight, so we just had to figure out where to park, & pray we didn't get towed. Other negatives: *hair on window sill in bathroom, only 2 towels in bathroom, shower door handle loose/jiggly, shower head was dirty with soapscum buildup, no fridge or microwave in a SUITE, air vent above mirror in bathroom was disgusting, mildew stains along entire bottom of shower, conditioner pump was broken, there was no mirror in the bedroom or living areas. So, if someone was showering, and the other person/people needed a mirror to continue getting ready, they were out of luck. Every common space in a hotel room needs a mirror

Room was not ready at check in time when we arrived, and had to wait an hour. There was no accommodation for having to wait. You have to find parking, or pay valet which I didn't know was an option. No microwave, or fridge in room.
