Candlewood Suites DFW Airport North - Irving, an IHG Hotel

Due to flight cancellation, I made the hotel reservation last minute. Then, I called ahead to request their free airport shuttle. The driver arrived approx. 30 minutes later. Upon arrival, though, his shuttle was marked for a different hotel entirely. I asked for clarity but he didn't offer any so I chose not to get into his van. After he left, I called the hotel back and explained this. They apologized and stated they were actually borrowing a van from a different hotel. I responded with feedback that would have been helpful to know during my initial request. I asked if they could send the driver back to pick me up. They said they would. An hour went by and I called back for status. I was advised the driver should have already arrived and they would call his cell to check status. When they got back to me, I was advised to use a car share (Uber, Lyft) instead because the driver had chosen to pick up new arriving passengers instead. I was frustrated and asked them why he hadn't informed them earlier because I had been out there extensively at that point. They only apologized and repeated the suggestion that I take car share. Upon arrival to the hotel, I informed their front desk of my disappointment. It had taken over two hours for me to go less than 10 minutes from airport all because their driver decided I could wait. New/Different driver next morning was equally rude and noncommunicative but I got home eventually. Lastly, one of the room forks had hardened food stuck to it.

It was a reasonably priced hotel by the airport. We were stuck in Dallas after a late flight. It is clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. No where to eat in the immediate area though we solved that with Door Dash.

Last minute due to missed flight connection. Price was great and the room was too.

Great room for a last minute flight cancellation at DFW, 5 minutes from the airport and very spacious and clean, low price.

My suite was larger than I was expecting, and the hotel was nice and quiet. Great place to spend the night after my international flight.

Scheduled a 5am shuttle to the airport just for them to show up and only be able to take 4 of the 12 of us the scheduled all at the same time. Almost missed our flight after having to pay for an Uber because they were not going to call another shuttle.

Its convenient because its near the airport and my room was very handicap accessible. They have an overpriced mini mart in the lobby. Not the greatest selection. No plasticware for the microwave food they sell (oatmeal, ramen noodles, etc). Great service from the airport shuttle driver, Tracy. She gets an A

The facility was nice and seemed very clean. However the bed sheets had a few stains on them and looked slept in. I had to sleep in it but it was hard to go to sleep. The bed was comfy, so had the sheets been in better condition I know I would have slept well. When given my keys the person on duty said my room number out loud which shouldn’t have happened. My security felt less secure. Being a female traveling I should feel more safe and I didn’t. This was a very convenient hotel as it was very close to the airport and it had a shuttle service. I will excuse the delay leaving the airport as many people were left stranded due to the hurricane. It was a mad house for all the shuttles and passengers. Shuttle from hotel to airport was quick and easy.

Several others and myself arrived at the property at 10:45p after a long day of air travel. There were no employees present and the phones were not being answered. We waited for more than 30 minutes before someone showed up to check us in. Unacceptable.
