Baymont by Wyndham Fort Myers Airport

My room, down graded to 2 queens vs the king I booked because I was traveling with dogs (2 chihuahuas). Dog guests are not allowed king size rooms The room was in terrible condtion. Bathtub was peeling, needing paint to the the bathroom door, main door. Holes in the wall from ppl opening door too hard. Remote batteries taped in due to cover missing. Was obvious this was the hallway for people with dogs stay. Overheard other dogs the 2 night stay. Felt discriminated because I had dogs with me.

Hotel’s convenient and cheap for a quick nights stay before your flight at RSW, but other than that not the greatest experience. We weren’t told ahead of time that they only take credit or cash for the deposit (NO DEBIT) so we had to walk across the street to get cash. I’ve never heard of a policy like this. The employees attitude at check in was far from welcoming. We also weren’t given the wifi password so we tried calling the front desk multiple times to no avail. Aside from the strange deposit policy and poor customer service, the room was also in very poor shape. You can tell they haven’t renovated in a very very long time. We stayed in room 316 and the door was either super old or previously kicked in because it didn’t close properly and we were unable to use the deadlock. Luckily we felt we were in a safe enough location to be able to just rely on the latch lock for the couple of hours we stayed. So I guess you could count that as one of this hotels few pros.

I normally don't complain but this hotel was just awful. The hotel looked as if it hadn't been vacuumed for a week. The couches in the lobby were horrifying! No bed skirts on the bed. The box springs were showing and had stains. Gross! A bed skirt would have done wonders. The pool water level was low so the water was not going into the skimmers to be filtered. I cant imagine they are testing the water based on the color of the water. The hot tub was not working and the water was almost black. I booked the hotel because it was close to the airport and we had an early morning flight. I read that there was a shuttle to the airport. There is no shuttle. They state they are renovating but this was just unacceptable. Pick somewhere else to stay.

I called and ask if they have a shuttle to the airport. They told me they did and that I just had to tell them when. So I made a reservation through Expedia. When I got here, the front desk said that they haven't had a shuttle for about 6 months. So I had to make an Uber reservation to go 6 miles. NOT HAPPY.

Very loud, loud outside room in parking lot all night, echos from hallways, terrible smoke smells when air conditioner was on Bring your own pillow, they only supply thow size travel pillows on beds. Beds very hard, very uncomfortable, We’ll never stay at this hotel again

The property had roaches. The airport shuttle was broken and we were not offered any assistance in getting to the airport without it. Not a win.

I specifically chose this hotel, sorted by distance from the Airport and had an available shuttle to the airport. When I got thereto check in, I was told the shuttle wasn't available so i had to get my own transportation to the airport via Uber costing me approx $20. I would have stayed somewhere else had they let me know there was no shuttle to the airport.

The floor in the room was filthy, the sheets were stained, the chairs stain, the smoke detector was covered by a bag. I am traveling on the motorcycle and wanted to do a load of laundry as you can see in the pictures the laundry room was trashed. The banister as you walk down the stairs into the main is falling off the wall. Outside there a beer cans laying all over the place trash. As you walk around the building, you can see windows up so they can smoke in the rooms. There is a RV parked in the parking lot and several were out having a little party. There were several men had a car jacked up in the parking lot and they were working on. Ouch. I believe this is probably a long term for construction workers. I completely understand that they need a place to stay. I should’ve read the reviews prior to coming here. But we made it through the night. The water was wet and hot.

I phoned to be sure they had an airport shuttle which they confirmed. After making the reservation they requested 6-8 hour advance notice that I needed a shuttle which I gave. The shuttle did not arrive as requested. I called the hotel and was told it would take 5-10 minutes. It did not arrive. After 20 minutes I called again. It arrived as I was talking to the hotel clerk. Drover was very friendly, as was the desk clerk. Room has torn curtains and mold in the corner of the shower. Only checked in and left for a meal, but so far, though the employees were very good, I would not return.

The shuttle driver was very helpful and picked us up at the airport within 30 minutes of call. The hotel smelled like car air freshener. The structure of the hotel was shabby. The lampshade in our room was completely bent. The shower curtain and tub had stains. The tub didn't drain properly so I was standing in back up shower water. The coffee in the morning was surprisingly good. We only needed to stay one night and needed a hotel near the airport or I would have chosen to find a different hotel.
