We loved this property. We only stayed for one night at the start of our trip to Maui, as it is on the way to Hana and near the airport, however next time, we plan to make it more of a destination and to stay longer - we liked it that much. It’s expensive but everything is, in Maui. For what it offered in comfort, location, friendliness, and cleanliness, it is worth it. Can’t want to come back some day.

Conveniently located 10 mins from the airport. The inn is attached to a sushi bar which was delicious. The live music was great. The room itself was cute, clean and cozy. All you need for a couple nights stay. The inn is next to a busy road which can be heard from the room, but we weren’t bothered by it. The live music can be heard from the room as well, but again, we weren’t bothered and the bar closes at 10. All in all great stay, would recommend. Also would like to mention, we flew in late, receptionist contacted us with late check in information and was very helpful. Thank you!

This was our second trip to this hotel and sadly we were underwhelmed by our recent experience. Our first visit was in 2021 and we had a fabulous stay. We had a wonderful spacious room that was stocked with amazing Malie amenities (like travel lotion, bath salts) for use during and after our trip. The beach access and beach area is fabulous (turtles sunbathing!) and the hotel is walkable and has a fun on-site restaurant/bar. On our most recent stay, we checked in only to discover that our room and the surrounding lobby area smelled like cigarette smoke. The receptionist/concierge (Jocelyn) was wonderful and was extremely responsive and helped us to secure a different offsite room. While we appreciated the prompt change, we were ultimately put in a room with a broken bathroom sink and stained sheets. The room appeared a bit neglected overall. Ultimately, our stay was an overall disappointment when we had splurged on this hotel and paid $600 for this experience.

Beautiful private beach area with turtles. Charged an additional “amenity fee” beyond the Expedia price even though we didn’t even use the parking

It was a small room perfect for me as I was traveling on business and just needed a place to overnight and be on my way. I’m planning on staying there again.

Although this property had nice decor, it was a really weird layout. To access our room, was like going through a maze. The reception looked lije a store. We had to go through the restaurant to get to our room. They put a nice door in front of the hot water heater. Our suite looked like they took a patio and made it into a room. The door to the bathroom was extremely narrow, because I assume they did not want to move the electrical. There were electrical covers all over the room where switches. lights, etc were covered up. They put a door in front of what I assume was the old doorway to the porch. Why not do ot right and make the door way to the bathroom wider. Not to mention the step down from the bathroom to the room is dangerous. However the thing that they really need to fix is to add a vent for the toilet. There is no vent. So the toiket smells like waste all the time. They put a bottle of air freshner in the water closet, thi king tbat would solve the problem. It did not. Thankfully this was just for one night before we caught an early flight. I would suggest that you do not book the Junior Garden Suite. It is not that pleasant. Also there is no way to drop off a key if you need to leave early. We called the emergency number and no one answered. We left a message where the key was left. I am glad we did not loose our one key, as we would be sleeping in our car.

Picked this place for last night, close to airport for an early flight. Beautiful boho style hotel. Attached restaurant excellent. Staff very helpful storing our bags then taking to the room while we adventured out. When they offered to upgrade to a larger room for an extra $100 I might have taken it if I’d seen our standard room in advance. Room #2 was right on the street, with a framed view of a tangled top of a power pole that also had a bright light. Very small room. It was fine for our needs but wouldn’t have been for more than an overnight. They have small gathering places, both inside and outside hotel, including at their little beach.

Perfect location for Road to Hana especially if you want to get up early (street noise hard to sleep late). But the beach was so windy you couldn’t sit there without sand blowing all over you. And the grass lounge area is ALL shade. Close to airport too.
