Self catering facilities: We were on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool and sea and really enjoyed the location. There was a lift and luggage trolleys and parking was sufficient (July).
The room was perfect for us, plenty of space for four of us. Nice jacuzzi bath, all very clean and really can't fault it. Rocking chair on the patio was a nice touch for a sunrise coffee. Beds and pillows were fine.
The pool area was very well maintained and always clean. Clear that it's well managed. The Abbey road drinks were average prices, food was pretty good too. We used the gas grills and found the area to be well serviced and clean.
The airport? For those that are concerned, I wouldn't be, the rooms are very well sound proofed. This doesn't mean you won't hear the planes at all, but flights are pretty limited and don't remember any over night or super early. Remember, because the island is so small, you might be on the other side of the island and still have planes flying over the top of your hotel.
We liked that the hotel was out of the hussle and bussle. Only a short drive to Duval St (14 mins) and Fort Zachary (20 mins). The plus side is it's on a nice running path all along the sea side (slow jog to Smathers Beach in 20mins). The road in front of the hotel was not really an issue for us. Not too busy or noisy.
Overall I would highly recommend and if/when we return to Key West, we will definitely look to return.

Although they were doing roof work when we stayed, they kept the grounds clean. The front desk called multiple times to see if there was debris on our porch, which was there was not.
We got more than we expected with our room. It was perfect for my husband, daughters and me. It was like living at home with two bedrooms, two full baths, washer/dryer, kitchen fully stocked (down to a juicer and blender)! They even have multiple grills near the pool. We LOVED our stay!
The Hyatt Vacation Club is walking distance from the airport. Our plane was delayed three hours which caused us to arrive after 10 p.m. We walked to the The Hyatt which was just three blocks from the airport.

Great place to stay in Key West. Near to the downtown and on the sea. Very good pool and outside area, with parking. Will stay there anytime we are in Key West. Number 1 stay.

There was roof work going on all day everyday I was there. The noise was terrible. Also the elevator was out of service making brining up all hagas and groceries a nightmare. Staff said it would be working but it wasn’t. All parking near unit was taped off for work and the entire area has roofing materials and scraps and trash everywhere. Not the trip we hoped for or expected.

If looking for place to stay away from historic area this would certainly fit the bill. We planned on driving to historic area but parking was insane and costly.

We stayed here with our three teenage boys. We really enjoyed our time here! So quiet and relaxing. There was some airport noise occasionally but not enough to bother us. You Will need a car or two Uber into town, it’s not close enough to walk. But you could rent bikes and ride in town very easily. Parking in town is a bit of a hassle. so, even if you have your own car, an Uber is a pretty good idea.

Driving into the resort is almost disappointing. No curb appeal
If you're traveling with a larger group of people and staying for an extended amount of time and want to be able to cook vs. going out, this is a great hotel for you. It's your basic two-bedroom, condo-style room with plenty of space.
The units do have nice oversized patios and our room had a beautiful view.
The pictures are a bit deceiving. It looks like it's ON the beach, but it's across the street from the water and there is no beach access. There's not a beach directly across the street but there is a beach just up the road a little bit.
The pool area was nice. Nothing overly special, just nice. It did have a nice shady area so you didn't have to be under the hot sun all day.
The food window was a bit of a negative. One girl was cooking and one taking orders and making drinks so the wait time could be extended, even if you're only the second person in line. I can't imagine having more than 3 people in line. That was the only place to get food, but it makes sense, considering all rooms have full kitchens.
The one cool thing was that it's right next door to an airport and it sounds like you're right on the tarmac when the plane is getting ready to take flight. We did get to see a plane take off. It looked like it climbed right out of the trees. Very cool and what was even better was that you didn't hear it INSIDE the resort, only when you're outside in the parking lot.
