Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Medford-Central Point, an IHG Hotel

The room had a dirty sock smell. However, when I went back down stairs to speak to the desk clerk, she offered to let me look at a few more rooms to see if any were acceptable. All of the rooms had a similar order to a lesser degree. We found one and then opened a window and ran some coffee in the Keurig to try and overpower the odor. Other than the smell the room looked clean. And, again the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only other disturbing thing is the truck stop right next to the hotel. There were 50 or so big rig trucks parked next to the hotel. We didn't encounter any problems, but a woman traveling alone might feel intimidated.

Convenience was the key factor to choose this place. We flew in past 9 pm and just needed a place for next morning start of the road trip. 5 minutes from the airport and a few minutes from restaurants, take-out food places. Clean room as usual business hotel setting but it came with slightly noisy, but probably average, airconditioning. Overall, I had no problem to sleep and left the hotel happily after a good breakfast next morning.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Medford-Central Point, an IHG Hotel, for just one day and had an overall good experience. Here are some highlights and areas for improvement: Pros: ----- Breakfast: The breakfast options were good Parking and Location: The parking was good, and the location is a convenient stop for anyone traveling from Northern California to Portland. It's close to the freeway, making it a great stop if you want to visit Crater Lake, which is about 2 hours away. Nearby Amenities: There are good food options within walking distance Cons: ----- IHG Points: Unfortunately, our stay did not earn any IHG points because we booked through Expedia. As regular customers who have stayed exclusively at Holiday Inn for our last three trips, this was disappointing. It would be beneficial for IHG to consider awarding some points to customers who book through third-party sites, especially those who are frequent guests. Overall, our stay was good and we look forward to returning. Rating: 4 out of 5

Good choice of pillows free continental breakfast for the super early flights— they gave us a choice and packed us a bag that was ready at 4:15 in the morning!!

Only stayed one night while traveling through, room was very clean and decent size bathroom, nice staff.

Very homey, loved the stay even though it was for just one night. Easy parking, and very convenient. Only downside was the lady at the front desk wasn't very friendly but everyone else was. I would stay here again

Hotel was very close to airport. Inside of hotel and rooms were very clean. they offered a cold breakfast to go for people with early flights before the buffet breakfast opened, which I thought was a very nice offering.

Access to the hotel was affected by the truck parking across the street, the street is a total traffic jam of semi’s trying to get into the Pilot parking area. Thirty minutes in a line and didn’t even get to the corner of the street when we hit town at 6pm. We aborted the attempt. Left to get gas and out to dinner, came back a couple hours later and got back into line. Took a while
