When I checked in the gal at the front desk told me they didn’t have the room I had reserved (double queen) but they could switch me to a king. It was my coworker and I traveling together, so this wasn’t ideal. The front desk person was quite blah, without so much as a smile. The air conditioner rattled even when the fan wasn’t on. Not your normal hum, but rattling. In the morning we woke up to what sounded like our shower running. It was water pouring through the exhaust fan above our shower from the room above. Maintenance was quick to check on it, but couldn’t really do anything until we checked out. We both skipped the shower as we were just heading home anyway. I hope this was just an off day and it’s not something that’s common. I would give this hotel another stay.

The employee has no idea what he was doing. I arrived at 1208 am just wanting to go to sleep after a long travel day to be told I did not have a reservation. He was not trained properly before working solo. I asked him to call his manager who told him over the phone that if he didn't see a reservation I didn't have one and hung up on him. No resolution or even a care for the customer. I asked if there was a room available and he said yes and proceeded to charge me again for a room. I get the key and go to the room to find a do not disturb sign on the door. I go back down and he tells me there's no one in it so we walks me up and uses the master key to open the door to find people sleeping in the bed! We went back down to the front office and he was more worried about someone in that room than where my reservation was. Then at 1253 am (I was watching my phone) another customer comes in and the worker tries to send him away. That customer is a regular and told the worker where the customers reservations were that are confirmed! I had a room the whole time! The worker had no clue what he was doing! Then he had to refund me the second room that someone else was sleeping in. So I think I got to my room at 130 in the morning. Which is 230 my EST. The next morning, I asked to speak to management and the man working said it was him. I discussed what happened the night before and he had the balls to say 'that's not what our employee said'. I told him to check his security tapes!

The mobility accessible room I was in was very spacious. There was plenty of room on each side of both beds for me to access. The bed was a nice height to transfer in and out of—not ridiculously high like in so many places. There were plenty of pillows. I could move around easily on the carpeted floor. The heating/cooling system worked well and the controls were accessible to me. Overall, the bathroom was set up nicely. Even though there wasn’t a roll-in shower, the pull-down bench in the shower/tub made it workable (although I couldn’t reach the controls). The mirror in the bathroom was too high—it’s hard to fix hair and apply makeup when all you can see is the top two inches of your head! However, there was a nice full-length mirror in the bedroom. I like the little coffee bar! I could park there and still be out of the way for my husband to move past me. Like in many parking lots, you could have more handicap-accessible spots—when we arrived at 9:00 pm, there weren’t any left. With my van, we need extra room on both sides in order to unload my wheelchair and me.
