The breakfast is described as adequate but not exceptional, and some guests found the lack of in-room coffee makers inconvenient. The room was so smelly, like wet dog. The carpet was sticky, squishy, and smelly. My hands and hair smelled after sleeping on the sheets. The bathroom sink was not properly installed. There were ants coming out of the nightstand. The hallways had litter and dirt, and bags of garbage with bugs flying around the garbage. The pool area looked as if not had been cleaned, swept, or moped. there were bugs in the pool, it was just dirty. The staff was friendly. When we didnt have a microwave in our room the front desk carried one down. The price is liw, but I dont rhink we'll return. I have low standards when it comes to hotel rooms, but this was probably the dirtiest room I've ever stayed in. Even my kids were grossed out.

The property is clean and comfortable even if it appears in need of some grounds maintenance. All the important things, room, bathroom, and bed are up to snuff. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone traveling and needing an overnight stay. They have a pool with a crazy slide, if you have kids. Breakfast is nothing special but they have a good selection of cereals and the prepackaged danish and muffins are soft and moist. Overall…👍

The Dakota is clean but no frills. It serves well to stay the night before going to the airport. Unfortunately my bathroom had what appeared to be water damage on the ceiling and mold. The person who checked me in was super busy but got everyone attended to in a timely manner. She was efficient, kind and informative.

I was travelling with a person with mobility issues and we were placed in a very accessible room which we appreciated. When trying to access the pool area we had to wait for front desk staff to provide towels and unlock the door to the pool which wasn’t convenient as we had to wait in the hallway outside the pool. The hotel was quiet and provided a decent breakfast.

Check in was at 3 I arrived at 3:45 and was told my room wasn’t ready yet. We ended up going to an early supper and thankfully they were done when we got back I was happy at first the room looks nice when you first open the door lots of updates since the last time I was there but then the problems started becoming noticeable the curtain to our room wouldn’t close we had to clip it shut with a hair clip there was also a bunch of holes in the curtain as if it had melted together in dryer and was ripped apart. The comforter has holes in it as well again looks like it burned and melted together and was torn apart. The ceiling in the bathroom was wet and is damaged when my husband told the front desk clerk about this he said that they were aware and nothing they could do. We were in town for concert and just dealt with it since we were just needing somewhere to sleep before we traveled home next day. I was told during check in the front door is locked at 10pm so to use back door, at 11:30pm the back is uncomfortable to go to it’s dark they also don’t lock the door so anyone can come on in not sure what the point of the key card lock if it doesn’t work. The carpets from the back area have large water stains on them I’m assuming from more water leaks like in our room. The hotel was quiet until around 5:30 am then there were people slamming doors and being loud. They have breakfast the next morning but there are no choices it’s oatmeal, cereal, toast or a bagel. Not a good stay.

When I arrived I explained there wasn't a place to mark that I had a therapy dog with me and then they charged me a pet which is extremely disappointing as my last stay I was not and was told they don't charge it for service or therapy animals. While they claim to be "pet friendly" there is not an area of grass to take dogs out to. On my first stay I was told I couldn't take my dog out the front door I had to take out back. There were several large piles of large dog piles in the parking lot during the entire visit. I over heard 3 employees talking about this and hours later they were still there. I find the security of the building lacking. Any other hotel locks all the other entrances except the front. This hotel only locks the front door. When my room was in the back half of the hotel it was a little concerning that anyone can just walk in. The card reader on the pool did not work and when I asked I was told we had to ask the front desk to be let into the pool. This visit has just shown that the hotel has continued on the downward slide.

This was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at! It was absolutely filthy Floors on the second floor were sticky and crumbs everywhere. Used cigarette butts in the hallway, beer can on the heater. The stairway carpets have not been vacuumed in a very long time The shower went from freezing cold to scalding hot, in a matter of seconds. There was no front attendant after 10 or so. Very loud! People drinking in the parking lot and lots of broken glass. Very poor lighting Only 2 plug ins, in the rooms! Had to move the dresser just to get to one of the plug-ins The floor by the lamp and bedside table have not been vacuumed, a whole cookie on the floor and crumbs. Pool was broken and was no able to get some sort of refund! I will never stay here again and have told everyone I know of how bad the stay was. There were many events going on in-town that weekend and no other places with rooms in my price range! Biggest mistake is I didn’t take pictures, this is a very disgusting place

Just a short drive to the airport and conveniently located just off I-29. The room was clean and well supplied. Air conditioner was quiet and worked great. Good breakfast. Staff was helpful and attentive. We enjoyed our stay.

It was a nice room and not too hard to find. There are no coffee machines in the rooms which was a little odd and you had to travel down to where the front desk was to be able to get coffee but that's just a creature comfort people are used to being able to have in the rooms. Not a huge selection for the breakfast but what they had was good and clean and friendly.

Great stay !! Friendly staff 🙂. I don't travel much to Sioux Falls but if it were to happen again we definitely have a go to place.
