Moorings Hotel

I did not stay as my flight was cancelled at the last minute. I have requested a refund, given the circumstances, but neither the property or Wotif are responding.

Had an excellent stay here, each room I had - either as a solo traveller or shared with other people on my tour - was clean, spacious and very comfortable. A couple of rooms are in need of some minor maintenance - a broken switch or tv - but nothing that caused major inconvenience. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the view is spectacular. I'd definitely recommend!

Easy location for the airport. Staff and restaurant were excellent. Rooms felt unclean (no mattress protector and bugs on our bed). Rooms also smelt of tobacco when using air conditioning. Quite a few people around at night with the beach bar next door and we had people try to get into our room during the night as well. So didn’t feel overly safe. Okay for a cheap night when having a flight stopover wouldn’t recommend a long stay.

Rooms are ery clean with a very pleasant service both for the room and at the restaurant. Nice bed and comfortable room (ocean view). Restaurant not gastronomic but good value for money. I have really appreciated that leaving at 4 PM, the manager allowed me to take a shower before my flight. They provide me with a clean room at no cost for the shower and thank to it I was really confortable for the flight. This is really a great service, very customer oriented.

The friendly Staff cheerfully acknowledged us every time we came into or out of the hotel. The overall service was good and reception staff willingly helpful. Like most places in Pt Vila, still upgrading following the destructive Cyclone Pam which hit some 19 months ago. Ideal location with one of the best views available and at a good price. Pool side rooms and ocean facing rooms had great views. Fabulous views from a lovely swimming pool and deck and some of the dining areas overlooking the beautiful harbour and to watch the fabulous sunsets from. We utilised all leisure areas throughout our stay. The meals in the restaurant were reasonably priced; of excellent quality, choice and presentation. All meals I had were made fresh daily on site with fresh ingredients. A great bar and pool that almost flowed right into the ocean. Very relaxing. Close to various other restaurants (some of which were also very good) if you want a change of menu. Continual availability of "B" Buses (most economical way to get around Pt Vila, if not walking) driving past that were easy to hail. In fact, if you walked, they would slow down and ask if you needed a ride - if you declined, drivers would still smile and wave to you. The Hotel Staff would also phone and booked a bus, taxi or tour for you (or phone your self-selected driver or tour operator for you).
