Aquarius on the Beach

Aside from very restricted parking meaning my small son and I had to park quite a distance away and walk at night. The rest of the hotel was beautiful, clean and tidy and the staff were lovely.

Good accomodation with great views parking was limited onsite and had to park on surrounding streets 2 out of the 5 nights we were there.

Great location and superb views, parking a bit of a challenge though.

Pretty basic but fine for a last minute booking. Right on The Strand, adequate parking and the staff were helpful.

No parking available, bathroom was not clean, and very run down.

All fine for 2 nights. Free parking. Restaurants arround.

Great place to stay. The room 1306 was well maintained and very clean. Housekeeping does a great work in maintaining the place. The bed and linen were clean to perfection with overall a well-maintained place with great hill and water views. Easy access to shops and walks. There is ample parking space on and offsite. Pool and yard well maintained and easy access. I use this place for all my visit to TSV. Overall feedback - stay here and enjoy the views. Quiet at night so each morning you will feel rested, easy 20 minutes’ walk to ferry terminal for a day trip to magnetic island. Book this place on your upcoming visit to TSV. You will surely enjoy your stay.

The Reception Staff were very polite and professional and my room was available for early check in.. which was appreciated.. at the time of booking I did request early check in and late check-out.. and they delivered.. especially after my appointments the following morning when taxis were delayed so another client kindly offered to give me a lift back to Aquarius to try to make late check out.. I had also requested at time of booking too my choice of a bath... Always YES (from me) and it was available.. So my first experience at Aquarius was what I had hoped for.. all pros and no cons.. they have a beautiful in-ground pool too at the front of the property for guests.. There is a beautiful and tranquil view from my room on level 11. I also got to walk across the road and walk on beach sand for the first time at a hotel stay in Townsville.. eateries walking distance half a km away.. Aquarius is the same age as me.. 😉 Also they had pens for guests at reception.. 😉😙 Thank you very much Aquarius.

Would have appreciated being able to park vehicle on premises….not enough parking bays

Overall it was very affordable and amenities and room were great for the price. The view was wonderful. Staff were friendly and efficient. Only downfall was parking. We arrived mid afternoon. Checked in and went up to our room to freshen up. Had a neurologist appointment that afternoon and proceeded to drive across to other side of Townsville. Upon returning there was No car park available in the allocated area and None anywhere in a close proximity to Aquarius on the Beach … so we had to park quite a distance away ( down the street and around the corner ) and as there was No access to the back of the building as it had been locked at 2pm , we unfortunately had to carry our luggage etc to the venue the long way around …. Other than this little obstacle our stay was lovely Thankyou to Aquarius on the Beach.
