Residence & Conference Centre - Ottawa West

I’ve never written a bad review in my life before but this place was horrible. Signage was nonexistent. Called the front desk and had someone eating food or chewing gum give very poor service. When we found the parking the front entrance was under construction and we had to use a side entrance. They didn’t have our reservation as “it was a glitch in the system” when I showed them my Expedia confirmation. It took 30 minutes and we finally got a room. We got to the room and it smelled of cigarette smoke and disinfectant trying to mask the smell. The mattresses were lumpy and there was no tv in the room. I honestly think they put us in a room under renovation as they were sold out when another person from the football team went to book. When I went to the front desk they were not willing to do anything for us. I asked to cancel my reservation as it was a refundable / cancellable reservation and they said because it was after 2pm they wouldn’t. We ended up leaving and going to another hotel. Highly would not recommend this place!! Spend the little extra and go elsewhere!!!

A great summer travel option. We will definitely consider this location again in the future.

It was easy to check in and out. The room was close by and accessible. There was a mall nearby and the parking was close too. Hot water was available and the kitchen was clean too

When parking at the lot 10, do not pay using the App but let the people at the checking-in that you have a vehicle. If you pay with the app, it will cost you a lot more. The property is very safe. There is no coffer maker in the room. Just a microwave and the refrigerator.

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a great experience. The staff was incredibly helpful. The suites were clean, spacious, and quiet. The convenience of easy parking and dining options nearby was a definite plus. However, I must mention that the air conditioning was a bit disappointing. Due to the wildfire in Quebec during my visit, the outside temperature was high and humid, forcing us to keep the windows closed. Unfortunately, the air conditioning unit struggled to cool the room adequately, and the temperature remained at around 25C, which was less than ideal. Despite this, the overall stay was pleasant.

Minimalistic with all the basic needs, as expected from the advertisement. Location is quiet and felt safe as someone was at the front desk 24/7. Finding the exact building and the parking lot took some time. Paying for the parking ticket was a hassle having to deal with the pay machine. It’s worth paying the extra $50-100 more to stay at an actual hotel.

Good location close to dining and shopping. Reasonable rates. Safe. Quiet. Easy check in. Reasonable parking rates. Would have liked more towels.

Clean and large room. Ample of parking space . Not far away from a mall where I can have breakfast . Friendly receptionists.

7 night stay and really no complaints from us. Rooms were spacious. Beds were comfortable (wasn't expecting this of a dorm but pleasantly surprised). Although I travel with my own pillow and you may wish you had too. Close to excellent restaurant and great Bagel shop as well as a very large grocery store to stock up the kitchenette. Would definitely stay again.
