Super 8 by Wyndham Saskatoon Near Saskatoon Airport

It says close to the airport which it was not, but i did not know this hotel existed, but it was a great stay.

Very good location, very convenient and easy parking and friendly staff too.

As soon as my daughter and her stepfather arrived, they asked for directions to the parking lot at the reception. They are travelling with a trailer and did not want to get stuck. They were followed by two individuals back to their vehicle. Four more individuals were loitering around. The area looked very sketchy and unsafe. There did not seem to be a way for them to park. They did not even feel safe to get out of their vehicle and just drove away. I had booked online a few hours before with no possibility to get my money back.

Too close to the airport

Everything was excellent as it has been in the past when we’ve stayed. The parking lot is small when large trucks park in it makes it hard to get out. It is signed for larger vehicles to park in other areas but people still park with larger vehicles. Management needs to enforce this due to Risk of damage to customers vehicles. Other than that, room clean, breakfast good, staff very nice and friendly and accommodating.

I can say that check-in was a little strange. Especially because of the reception staff. He asked me for my credit card and passport, and even though I had my information on them, the receptionist also didn't like my picture and wanted to see a different ID! I guess even the police wouldn't do this. As someone who has been traveling to many parts of the world for 25 years and spent part of his life in hotels, these are not things you would want at 2 o'clock in the morning after a 15-hour long flights. On top of that, he took a deposit from my credit card and not only did not give me a copy, but also recorded my credit card number. Yes just that part, and some other weird rudish behavior. Apart from these, the hotel rooms are old and the breakfast is well below average. But there is coffee -:)

All is good at the Super 8. It is an older building but very clean. It is in a main thoroughfare but you cannot hear the street noise. Staff were helpful. Ample parking available. Good value for the price.

I needed it only for a few hrs from flight til i could grab my rental car, clean, pretty rooms, love the keurig, had supplies i needed. Breakfast was good. A new toaster would help for those who eat bread.
