Love the Germain Group of hotels. The Alt St. John’s is my favorite when travelling for business or pleasure. And the onsite restaurant Terre, is outstanding.

Our room had a nice view of the harbor. We stayed for 4 nights altogether. Beds were great, very comfortable. We had 2 dinners at the restaurant and they were good, although pricey compared to other restaurants. We also had breakfast in the restaurant but only twice because the restaurant is not open before 8. There is a coffee shop in the hotel which opens at 7 but does not have the same variety. We definitely would go to this hotel again. I think it is probably the nicest and most conveniently located hotel in St. John's with easy parking.

The person at the desk who checked me in was most helpful. She assisted with parking issues, gave recommendations re dinner and saved us by directing us to a nearby store to replace a cord for my husbands insulin pump.

When we arrived we were put in a room next to construction, we asked to be moved and were put on the noisy street side where there was endless motorcycles and cars screeching up and down Water Street. The staff at the Alt were great but the rooms that we were given were not great plus $15/day parking is mercenary.

Very good location. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Convenient underground parking (extra $15 a night). Room very modern and clean. Fast Wi-Fi. We had a room with a great view onto the harbor. Overall: very satisfied.

Excellent place for stay, very friendly staff, modern design, comfortable bed, friendly parking, you can still park your car here even after check out. If you want to enjoy downtown St John’s, this is the perfect location to spend the night!

Room was small but cozy. We had a partial view room but it had a lovely view of the harbour. Bed and pillows were so comfortable! Loved the rain shower but the water temperature must be regulated as I could not get the water quite hot enough for me. Nice to have onsite parking but having to pay extra for parking as a customer of the hotel still baffles me.

These guys are so awesome. I had the WORST flight experience and was delayed two days arriving. When I finally got there, this hotel was helpful, clean, friendly and centrally located. The front desk staff went above and beyond and were so kind, courteous and understanding. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend!
