DoubleTree by Hilton St. John's Harbourview

Was a lovely room, could have joined rooms if needed. The other room noise did travel through the walls pretty easy where the rooms joined ; chatting tv etc. View was lovely and when we checked in we got warm cookies! They were the best cookies ever and they were warm :)

We had a wonderful stay. The view was amazing and the staff were above average. However, the extra charge for parking was unexpected and unnecessary. This brought down your rating for me. It wasn’t the cost that upset me, it was not being told up front about it. I’ve never before had a separate charge for parking.

It is always great to stay at double tree , always great service , friendly staff very clean only negative having to pay for parking not big on $15 a night

Rooms were clean, no issues there. Fantastic harbour view. Great decor and room size, and comfy beds. A bit of confusion on the parking. On check in we weren't told about the parking garage maintenance so didn't know that we had to exit the entrance. We were concerned to drive out the exit because all the signs said "do not enter" ,, "one way traffic" etc. the only sign was on the barrier at the area of the maintenance. We figured it out, not complaining, just a concern.

Very modern contemporary room. Only 1 hand towel in the bathroom. Bathroom ceiling fan was disgusting. Reported to front desk. Sent someone up to clean it. Lighting in bathroom very dim. Could not see right to shave properly. Had dinner in facilty restaurent. Was warm, not hot. Another patron complained he received his rib dinner cold. When checking in advised there would be a $15.00 charge to park underground. I informed we were parked in one of the 10 outside parking spots. Reception said no problem. Was not advised there would be a charge for parking outside. Upon checking out reception (same person) said there would be an additional $15.00 parking charge. We said we were not informed outside parking was also a charge. Said he told when checking in we would be charged also for parking outside. We said he did not. Said he wasn't going to argue with us and waived the charge. During the evening i checked with reception about breakfast in the morning. Told there was a charge for breakfast. Informed reception the website indicated it would be a buffet breakfast. He said no, they only do buffets for bus tours. We went to dining room to check breakfast menu. Very expensive. Would have cost my wife and i close to another $50.00 for breakfast. After paying $375.00 for one night stay your hotel wants to charge additional fees for parking and breakfast plus poor lighting and absolutely disgusting ceiling fan in the bathroom. We will never consider Hilton chain in future travel plans.

Good room, quiet, great bed, friendly helpful staff, parking was a bit challenging - underground, one way, tight spaces. The room had a few maintenance issues but they were looked after promptly. We would stay there again.

This was my first time ever staying at DoubleTree. It was a pleasure for sure! From the moment I checked in and received a warm, fresh cookie I loved every minute. I was only staying for one night but the room was lovely, great view of the harbour and downtown, and the service at the front desk and at the restaurant was excellent. Shout out to Lauren, Emily, and Fabio the General Manager. We had lots of laughs all afternoon at the bar while I was waiting to go to the airport. I will definitely stay there again on my next visit to St. John's!!

We liked the location, the friendly and efficient staff. We didn’t like the additional charge for the harbour view and parking. It added an additional $30 plus tax to our stay.

Liking this hotel , but the parking has to get better and accountable. This location with this add could be above the others but your catering to the restaurant guest as opposed to staying customer

Don’t like that you have to pay for parking with limited spot and small space between cars.
