Best Western Plus Winnipeg Airport Hotel

It was a little run down but the room and tbe staff were nice. I was just there for 1 night before heading to Churchill. It served my purpose. Had to wait a bit for the free shuttle.

We should have been notified that the hotel was being used as a evacuation centre. We would have made other arrangements the hotel was dirty noisy a major fight occurred in the parking lot. We did not feel safe worse experience in a hotel. The pool and hot tube were closed .The staff did the best they could

Terrible experience! Just had eye surgery so my daughter was my chauffeur. I had to be in a face down position 3/4 of the time and couldn’t lift anything heavy so my daughter was doing everything. Gatherings of unruly ppl in front of the hotel. My daughter saw police and ambulance called as someone OD. A guy was calling her over and was trying to give her something. She felt unsafe. Inordinate amount of security at the hotel. Just after 12am fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate the building. We were on the fifth floor so had to walk down 5 flight of stairs with one good eye. Once outside all u could smell was weed. Then had to climb 5 flights to get back to our room or else wait a long time for the elevator. Generally felt it unsafe for my daughter to be walking to and from the vehicle alone. Have to get up in a couple of hours to go to my follow up appointment for my surgery. A huge change in the environment at this hotel from past experiences.

Great location, room very clean, restaurant was great, 24 hour shuttle to airport, some of the other guests were loud and constantly piling into the elevator but the hotel can’t really control that, pool area is out of service for repairs

When pulling into the parking lot i neede to navigate corwds of peope smoking and walking around the parking lot unsafely. I then found a parking spot... when i looked out my window to find someone sleeping on a chair outside. I then walked into the lobby and it was so crazy. Not one chair was available yo sit. People were sleeping on them. Then teenagers/yound adults were running around yelling and wreslting all over the lobby. I waited for staff to help check me in, while other guest would cut in front of me to get what they wanted. The rooms drywall patchwork was awful. It looked like a house ready to be demolished. Then got awoken by crowds of people in the hall way. Hotel bar hours were not as advertised

The property itself was what we expected: clean, inviting, easy to navigate. The shining star for this hotel is their staff, Olga. She learned that we had just experienced a horrible flight (delays, cancellations, lost baggage, and rental car issues). She made us feel welcome, upgraded our room, and checked in with us EVERY time we saw her each day. She provided us with any info we needed (where to shop to replace clothing, etc). She went above and beyond! Olga is amazing!!!

The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The hallways were a little run down compared to the rooms. The hotel seemed quite full and as a result a little noisy, but not a major problem. A good choice if you want to stay near the airport. The front desk staff were efficient and friendly.

One of only two elevators was in service all three days of our stay. Poor lighting in the parking lot.
