Hotel Grand Terrace Chitose

Visiting this hotel is ideal for short travellers who want to visit Sapporo. It was a nice hotel. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was super clean. Although my room does look outdated, It was a nice room. I will stay again in the future.

stayed here for a night, as needed a early flight from Haneda. While the earliest shuttle service was still falling short, front desk was able to arrange a taxi who was there at 0530. Did not get chance to enjoy the amenities of the hotel, but it is close (walking distance) to many local dining places.

Hotel provides shuttle bus to chitose station, minami-chitose station and to new chitose airport. Elderly driver and assistant were kind and helpful. There is shuttle bus from airport to hotel, but we arrived quite late at night, so took train to chitose station, then a short taxi ride around 800yen to hotel. Rooms were clean and alright. Breakfast was sufficient and good. Overall it is good value for money for our one night transit stay before we continue journey to other parts of Hokkaido.

The hotel was spacious and offered a free airport shuttle. The piblic bath was pleasant and staff were friendly and helpful.

It is not that near to Chitose Station but walkable , like in 30 minutes? But there was an Aoba Oark nearby, just behind the property area, pretty in winter time. There is a bus stop to take a bus to Chitose Station. Coming back fr Chitose Station to the hotel is confusing to me, thus I always used taxi which cost about max 1000¥ one way. Fr Chitose Sta., the Salmon aquarium is about 1.2km away. During winter, there is a park, stunning view w ducks at the river. Beautiful place. The daily bfast is fine, got scrambled/ tiny egg omelet and sausages, bread and buns. Kids will have something to eat. Overall ok.

Good location, easy access to the airport. A few good places to eat nearby. Large lobby and nice garden view.

The room rate is reasonable and the location is closed to the airport which is quite convenient. However, the restaurant is super hot. When I was having breakfast, I sweated a lot. Even the lobby and the street was cooler than the restaurant. It seemed that they wanted you to leave instead of enjoying the breakfast. The public bath area is super small. The hotel has more than 250 rooms. However, the public bath area only had four shower head. I had to wait for it at night and it was very crowded and busy in the bathroom. Also, the time was not convenient. In the morning, it only opened from 6-9. Normally, I woke up at 8 and had breakfast. Then, I had already missed the shower time in the morning which was very inconvenient for the guests. I suggest that the hotel open the public bath from 6-10 or 6-11 in the morning as many guests would like to take the morning showers.
