Dirty room, furnishings worn. I found bottle caps by the bed on the floor. Furniture fabric coming apart on bed and lounge chair. Coushions worn and dirty. Aside from that, the service was wonderful. All staff were friendly. Rooms are nice and quiet. Beautiful location on the lake, nice for a morning stroll. Easy parking (paid).
Room service had Dairy Free options. Mushroom risotto -beautiful. Was charged $5.00 tray fee, weird.
Overall a relaxing stay, I ended up staying another night.

I liked how this property is away from the main city and has easy parking (charged). The quietness and service to ensure clean towels and room when you’re back from a day out.

Great to be able to arrange an early check-in as we needed to be at the Earnslaw wharf for a Walter Peak cruise. Water taxi transport option was cheap and quick.
Room was basic but functional. A bit more care with cleaning could be taken. Overall very enjoyable

We only stayed the night before a flight, but the room was more than adequate and comfortable. It would have been very convenient to have an airport shuttle (free or at a fee) as parking is NZ $16/day, but I understand it may not be feasible. All in all, I would recommend this property to others.

Our stay at the Hilton was superb. The checkin staff team - Lee & her colleague Arun recognised road weary travellers & took over, helping with our bags and recommendations. The room was spacious with a deep bath and comfortable bed. Our dining experience delicious and the outdoor fire pit a special treat. Our overall
impression was of a professional team delivering a great service. Thank you.

I did like the view and was unique coming down a steep hill to it. The one way system made it easier to negotiate the roading. Most amenities and dining was at the Hilton. Was close to Remarkables park.
Didn’t like having to pay for parking as a hotel guest.
