Capsule Hotel - Alpine Garden Zurich Airport

Perfect location for an overnight transfer with this price range. Convenient to do shopping and refueling.

It's a good affordable option for an overnight stay at the airport

The hotel is pretty hard to find. No Uber will take you to the right place/area. It was quite the journey from where I was dropped off, having to take multiple elevators up and down and walking a maze through the airport BUT...once there, its a perfect spot for a long layover or one night if flying out early in the morning. I've stayed twice now.

For max 1 night or to have some rest during layover is acceptable otherwise can be frustrating.

This was an excellent choice for one person traveling alone looking for a convenient to the airport stay. It eliminated a potentially stressful morning travel to the Zurich Airport!

I liked the proximity to the airport and cleanliness.

Serves it's purpose. Quick overnight stay after a late flight. Clean showers, bathroom, capsule. Overnight food bar. Works for me.

It was difficult to find by following the signs of the airport. And using the physical door codes didn’t quite work right so the smart phone app was needed. Otherwise it was a bed with enough space to sit up and showers were available. Luggage and shoes needed to be placed under the capsule in the communal space.

The last turn we had to make was a little unclear. Kind of a dead end with some elevators to the right. Walk was a little more than expected. At 4:30 am the bathroom was out of clean bathmats, but not that big of a deal..overall a great solution for my situation AND that of the 18 year old stuck overnight due to the global IT crisis of 7/19/24, who had been seated next to me when our flight was cancelled (twice)!

I felt that I was cheated. When I was booking my reservation via hotels.com, the picture of the “room”(?) that was shown was fully misleading. In reality it was a dorm/bunker where the occupant has to climb inside a box and sleep. I have never had such a bad experience in staying in a “hotel”. The person (host) at the front desk just cheekily told me that ‘capsule’ hotel meant a hotel but rooms are all like capsules. Well, I was mighty surprised and to me it seemed like a fraud/scam. My three day stay at Zurich was most unpleasant. I would caution anyone willing to stay in this damn hotel near the Zurich airport to develop a supple body before paying for the stay. I am planning to take legal action on this. I felt that I was cheated, because I did not have the correct information
