Overview

Sleep 'n Fly Sleep Lounge & Showers at Gatwick Airport Terminal 1 offers a unique transit-only accommodation option for travelers with layovers. While rooms are small, guests appreciate the convenience of the location and the comfortable beds, ideal for a short rest between flights. However, some negative feedback points to noise levels, the shared bathroom facilities, and the distance from other terminals. The price point may also be a factor for some.

I slept well during my eight hour layover, which is the main thing. Very conveniently located. The room is tiny, which I expected, and feeling a bit worn. Overall I’d recommend

Cant say i liked anything about it - aircon vents sat right on top of the bed which got me sick on the flight. I dont think even a homeless person would have said anything good about it.

Great place to crash for a couple of hours. Staff is very polite and helpful, check-in super fast, bed very comfortable, joint bathroom clean with complimentary towels and shampoo and body gel with some oils. Wake up available at a request. Be sure to choose the place at Terminal 1 since the rooms are a bit spacier fhan the ones at Terminal 1. I will definitely come back if I need the accommodation at that airport.

It was not possible to access to properties because boarding passes are not issued until 3 h before the flight. Don't reserve this place unless you are already inside past security checks.

Chose this option to get some sleep in Dubai during a 9 hour layover. It was pretty much what I expected after reading the reviews but still a bit novel. The double bed literally had 4 walls around (no gaps in the sides). When you open the door, there is space under the bed to store a bag etc. There is a small shelf with a lower socket to charge phones etc. It is not soundproof but luckily it was mostly quiet when we were there. If you are expecting a hotel room this is not it. If you just want a private place to sleep in a full size bed then this will do the job. A bit over priced for what it is but convenient. Note - this location (Terminal 1/Gate D) requires you to walk and also travel by train and bus from Terminal 3. Make sure you have enough time. We used the opportunity to stretch our legs between two long haul flights.

I got what expected, quick sleep over between flights. Bathroom outside of the "hotel" is definitely frustrating.

Don’t book unless your travelling out from Terminal D as it is not connected to the main terminal. Had to wait 30 mins for a bus as not connected to Terminals A, B or C. This wasn’t clear when I booked. Pods comfortable but would benefit from mattress toppers, thicker blankets. Major issue was noise, very noisy as people enter and leave.

Horribly small, confining, and just plain uncomfortable. Spend the money on a hotel, or sleep in the terminal. Just simply not worth the money we spent.
