Hotel could be lovely but very run down. Car park pitch black when I arrived. Didn’t see another person other than the receptionist. No restaurant. Told to eat breakfast away from hotel. Bedroom and bathroom desperately needed refurbishment. Didn’t feel safe as a lone traveller.

Property looks nice from outside and good parking. Accommodation room looks old and tacky. No hotwater first day which was resolved on the 2nd day. Pipes in toilet some are loose. Taps didn't work. Carpets are unclean. Certain part of toilet were unclean. Staff are welcoming and very nice and always happy to help. Board outside on street to show the hotel name was covered by trees.

This place has such a potential but it feels that it is mismanaged which is a great shame. Stayed here more than three times and each visit seems to be worse.. I don’t mind older decor but wonky headboards, showers not having enough water pressure (2nd floor room), unable to open windows, dirty hallways, reception staff not always available, some rooms need a better clean, no drinking water in the room etc I’m now treating this as a complete last resort when I stay in the area. I can’t believe that this place is run like this in 2023 Only if some TLC was given and customer journeys improved it would get more business travelers and could charge between £85-£105 per night.
