Overview

The Village Hotel Liverpool receives mixed reviews. While some guests praise the friendly staff, the convenient location near an Asda store, and the enjoyable breakfast, others express concerns about the hotel's condition. Several reviews mention that the hotel is dated and in need of refurbishment, citing issues such as inadequate heating, broken hairdryers, and noise disturbances. The hotel's distance from Liverpool city centre (around a 20-minute taxi ride) is also noted. While there is enough parking, it seems that it can be poorly managed, with gym users reportedly parking in disabled bays and double yellow lines.

Only booked this hotel for their swimming pool. On arrival was told all leisure facilities were open. When i went to the swimming pool i was told the pool was closed till Friday for maintenance. Not a happy traveller. 😕

Had been decorated since the pictures on hotels.com loaded and looked good. Some rough edges. Nice food in the bar. Selfish parking from gym users. In disabled bays and double yellow lines. They need to clamp down on that

We booked this hotel 6mts ago to use as a base to travel into Liverpool for the xmas market. First impressions count. The hotel is tired and in need of refurbishment!! Staff where friendly and helpful. Info of local services given on check in. Unfortunately that is where the good things stop!! We arrived on friday night 2nd December. On check in we where informed of a xmas party. Not by staff, but a poster on the wall. The party continued until 1am. Not too much of an issue. They have a quiet policy. Limited noise after 23.00hrs. This is not policed. 04.00 and the couple above us where still arguing and keeping us awake!! The room was tired at best!! The cupboard door didnt turn the light off so i had to remove the bulb. The hairdryer couldnt be removed from the draw. Limited number of plug sockets and the heating in the room was totally inadequate. The bathroom was clean but the shower screen did not stop all the water getting on the floor making it slippy. The tea and coffee along with the kettle are in a totally inappropriate location in the room and actually quite dangerous. Would i go back. No not until its had a refurb and definitely not in December

The hotel is located away from the city but close enough to an Azda store for convenience. Most of the time it is a self check in hotel and if something else is needed one has to wait for someone to attend. The breakfast is nice. Enough parking available.
