Hotel was ok - bit dated. Had to pay for parking despite it being a standalone hotel . Room service was poor - food was delivered uncovered to room and cold!
Expensive for what it was .

I came to this hotel after 3 days of beinv sick with cold and fever. I was checked in as soon as room ready. I the middle of the night I awoke and realized i was on my 5t day of zero food. I found the night person and asked for some bread. She found the bread for me and checked in on me later when i came down for my airport uber. It's the little things.

It was ok for over night stop. Thought bar and restaurant lacked ambience. Had evening meal , quite expensive and just ok. Breakfast was disappointing, not a great selection and over priced .
It was about 15 mins from cruise terminal so suited our needs

Lots of parking. Quiet place. Just a little far away from downtown, but Uber is always available.

We picked it because it was close to the cruise terminal, it was adequate but not great.
We had trouble checking in, sent to the wrong room which was occupied.
One hand towel in the room instead of 2.
Food was very average & expensive in the restaurant & service was terrible. Would not stay here again.

First impressions good but bathroom wash hand basin plug hole blocked, so water backed up going down drain, grout very discoloured around bath/shower and in the morning we had a lukewarm shower and weren’t the only ones to complain about lack of hot water. We were told hotel full and hot water system couldn’t cope!
The bed mattress is also rather firm, so will suit some better than others.
We paid £15 each for breakfast, as we’d read reviews about it being a good breakfast but by 9am they had run out of croissants, only white bread for toast and no healthy option cereals, such as oats or granola.
They did refund us the £5 parking fee for one night.
Wouldn’t stay again. Just as comfy in a Premier Inn and a lot cheaper!

This is our 5th stay pre cruise at the Doubletree Hilton, all very clean and service very good.
Easy check in.
Comfortable clean rooms, this time we stayed half board and evening meal was excellent value for money.
Breakfast was good.
Do think car parking should be free though for guests staying at the hotel overnight.

The check out lady at the end was sooooo rude.
The bed sheets were not clean, the lady who helped us with breakfast was lovely!
We were charged twice for parking once when booking then when checking in poor service,
I’m disabled so was very disappointed with the check out service waited ages the. She was so rude.
Disappointed will not be visiting again as I frequently visit Southampton but will stay else where.

My flight was cancelled. Meeting a cruise the morning I arrived due to alternate flight. I was unable to use reservation and even under the circumstances Doubletree would not refund my cost.

Bedroom was clean and bed was comfortable but reception staff were disinterested.
There's a charge for parking your car (even for Hilton Honors members). WiFi was tediously slow and borderline unusable (don't expect to be able to access social media let alone stream content).There are better hotels in Southampton.
