I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel, SpringHill Suites by Marriott® Charlotte Airport, located at 3055 Scott Futrell Drive, Charlotte, NC. I checked in at 10:17 AM on July 27, 2024 and checked out at 4:57 PM the next day due to an extended layover.
Upon arrival, the desk clerk and the shuttle driver were personable, and the check-in process was quick and efficient. However, my experience quickly deteriorated upon reaching room 419. The room conditions were appalling and unacceptable for any guest, let alone for someone celebrating their 23rd anniversary with family.
Here are the specific issues I encountered:
Room Cleanliness:
There were numerous dried blood stains on the dirty carpet.
The green pull-out bed was soiled and the room had a terrible, unpleasant odor.
The bed linens were soiled, and I had to request clean sheets from the front desk.
The A/C unit was loud
The Elevator - was dirty
Overall Experience:
The poor condition of the room significantly marred our anniversary celebration and caused great discomfort for our two children.
Given these issues, I feel that my stay was not only disappointing but also posed health risks to my family. I request a full refund for the inconvenience and substandard service. Additionally, I hope that you will address these issues promptly to ensure other guests do not face similar experiences.

Hotel is run down on the inside. Rooms need updating. Grout was missing in the bathroom. Couch had stains and was worn
Customer service was good. Front desk and shuttle driver were friendly and accommodating

Everyone was friendly but the property appeared to be in disrepair. The bathroom door handle was broke, the shower tap leaked a lot, and there was no hot water so I couldn’t shower prior to a full travel day. The front desk offered 10K Marriott points but that doesn’t even pay for half a night in the same city.

The staff checked me in as soon as she had a room available after a very early flight from waking up at 2:30 a.m. to catch a flight. Wonderful staff to take of their customers.

I didn’t like the fact that the airport shuttle service didn’t start until 6:00 am. I had to take an Uber to make my 5:30am flight.

Shuttle never showed up to pick me up at the airport. I waited 1.5 hours. Constan excuses from hotel manager on duty. I ended up sleeping on the floor in the airport.

It was great overall, super convenient to get to city and airport. Only thing lacking is EV chargers - this would be helpful for travelers to be able to charge their cars overnight

Checkin was quick and easy and there was plenty of parking available. The room was fairly dirty (carpet either dirty or heavily stained, slimy shower curtain, odd-smelling towels, spilled food in the freezer) and breakfast options were quite limited. Overall, it was fine for a one night stay but I'll probably look for somewhere else in the future.
