Bridgewater Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

The shuttle service was terrible. Had to wait 1 1/2 hours to get picked up from our Riverboat tour.

At 200-something a night, the Bridgewater was the most economical and convenient location for an overnight stay in summer AK. Easy walking distance to food, bars and the AK Cultural center. Clean room and an airport transfer as well. I'll be keeping this place in mind for future trips.

The room was clean. Front desk staff were great. Beverages in the hotel shop were high priced, but convenient. Many great restaurants within walking distance. We got a parking spot next to the hotel, but would fill up and overflow parking was a couple of blocks away. We liked it enough to stay on two different occasions.

The rooms were updated, clean, and nice but small. The area was OK, but not great. The air conditioning was not working in the lobby and it was 85° the day we stayed. Thankfully, we didn’t spend much time down there and it was working fine in our room. Our main issue was the transportation. We were told there was a shuttle available to pick us up at the train station. We found out that their van was not working and they were relying on another hotel’s van. After several failed promises for a pick up, and more than an hour and a half wait at the train station (and a failed attempt at getting a taxi), we just got an Uber.

Room was clean and tidy. The air conditioner was mounted at the top of the window and extremely hard to reach for adjustments. Had to use my cane to reach up there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Off site parking signage was difficult to spot and overgrown. Something going on with hvac in lobby - it was ungodly hot in there and the halls. I felt sorry for the staff having to deal with that heat.

Place is clean, parking is full on the day of our arrival, additional parking is one block away. Room is small, and the walkways are narrow, which makes the space feel a bit claustrophobic.

First room we were provided had a non-working AC unit - room was 80+ degrees and very uncomfortable. Hotel did switch rooms - and gave us a room that the shower had not been updated - it was a closet - complete with 1970's tile and size. We could hardly get clean in that shower - but the AC worked in that room. Hotel was nice, well located to downtown, had parking a nice little sundry shop and the staff were very friendly.

Great Great location. Because of flight issues, we only stayed one night. Walkable to river, cultural center, restaurants and shopping. Rooms are a little dated but clean. Night lady who checked us in was very friendly.

Room rate was very good. It worked for us because we wanted to spend more for the tours and activities. Location was very convenient to many restaurants and coffee shops. Free airport shuttle pick up was a nice amenity. Cleanliness can be improved… the bed skirt on one of the beds had a visible stain… should be replaced. The refrigerator did not really get cold… may need more Freon. One of the reception clerks can use a bit of customer service training. We asked for recommendations on Northern Lights tour and she simply responded, “I don’t know, I only work here.”… very dismissive. Thankfully, the airport shuttle driver handed us a few brochures from the display stand.
