The staff are super friendly especially Bernadette and Travis. I left my wedding ring and the driver of the shuttle turned around to get it.

There weren’t a lot of hotel options in Fairbanks, and Hyatt Place is probably one of the few hotels that looked more updated. A couple of things to note:
1. The shuttle service is not reliable. We called for pick-up when we arrived at the Fairbanks airport, as instructed. A couple of minutes later, we received a phone call from the hotel informing us that the shuttle driver had gone home for the day. They told us that they had called us a taxi and that they would be reimbursing us. We waited for the taxi for 30 minutes and it never came, so we ended up just calling an Uber. We did receive a reimbursement for this ride.
2. Pay the extra money for a high floor room and request the top floor (4th floor). We paid for a high floor room and were given a room on the 3rd floor. We could hear every single footstep from room above us throughout the night. We could also hear every time they dropped something on the floor and it was quite bothersome.
Our stay was fine for one night, but it wasn’t the most comfortable.

My stay at Hyatt Place during my visit to Fairbanks, Alaska was exceptional! The hotel is impeccably maintained, hygienic, and feels refreshingly new. The inclusion of Chromecast with the TV was a fantastic surprise, making streaming seamless and enjoyable. The spacious room and impeccably clean bathroom added to the comfort of my stay.
One of the highlights was the complementary breakfast, which offered a variety of options to start the day on a delicious note. Additionally, the shuttle service to both the airport and rail depot was convenient and punctual, making transportation hassle-free.

We loved the overall experience in Fairbanks and Hyatt just added on to that. Shuttle service was excellent too have from airport to hotel & back. Uber helped to move around.

The heater was broken at the first night stay, no house keeping in time even after I requested twice. The shower head is too tall for 5’03” like me to reach. They promised to let my friends extend one night after switching room for better heater, but still ask us to checkout at noon the next day. The free rollaway bed is fake ads. They still charge it. Otherwise, the overall environment is okay. Membership gets two free bottles of water. Free to sign up. There is also shuttle from to the train station.

I stayed here for a work trip and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is clean, safe, and nicely decorated. It was one of the most modern Hyatt hotels I have stayed at - and I travel ~ 5 months of the year. The location is perfect. Close to may major stores, walking distance to some restaurants. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I requested a room change because of a barking dog, and they responded immediately.

The place was dirty. The staff was lazy. There was no house keeping at all so you would have to go to the front desk and ask for towels and tissue. They would tell you they would have it sent to the room just so they didn't need to get up. We would have to ask again later and go get it ourselves. The breakfast was gross and limited. The bar was never attended so basically closed. The pool was being remodeled so there was work noise. The doors were very loud to open and close. The TV's would freeze up during a program. The parking was full. The staff locked the front entrance door expecting you to use your key to get in. We watched staff attempt to mop a dirty floor that had debris everywhere in the lobby and dining area. It was gross, noisy and should have cost much less for what we got. Bedding was thin and scratchy. They put us in a handicap room with wide open bath with no place to put anything and a low closet. We are not handicapped or short so it was difficult or impossible to use. The shower had the seat in it and got the whole room wet.

Nice, updated rooms and property, friendly staff, free shuttle to and from the airport, located near many stores and restaurants, affordable...what more could you ask for?
