Overview

The Sleep Inn & Suites Gulfport offers a mixed bag of guest experiences. While some praise the hotel's cleanliness, comfortable beds, and a surprisingly good free breakfast (with standout sausage patties and eggs), others report significant issues. Negative feedback centers around maintenance problems (faulty shower faucets, non-functional TV remotes, dirty rooms, and a lack of upkeep in the grounds), and inadequate housekeeping service. Additionally, concerns include limited parking, difficult access in and out of the parking lot due to its location, and issues with check-in procedures and responsiveness of staff. Potential guests should carefully weigh these contrasting experiences before booking.

elevator has no inspection certs posted anywhere. floors are dirty. the grounds outside were nasty and unkept. our shower faucet looked like it was plumbed up by my 5 year old grand daughter which in turn fell out into the tub when i turned the water off. the remote to the tv didn't work. half of the buttons wouldn't work. and the bed was so uncomfortable that i went out and slept 2 hours in my car and slept better than i did in the hotel bed. terrible stay and i had to stay the next night because i booked thru a travel site and they wouldn't refund my money. otherwise i would have left!!! will never recommend or stay here again!!!

i stay at inexpensive hotels and motels frequently so i’m used to nighttime noise seepage, outside light leakage, and noisy appliances. This Sleep Inn has none of that. My room on the backside of the hotel had none of that and i slept great. It’s also very clean including the outdoors and parking lot. The entrance driveway is only accessible from one direction on the side street so you may have to turn around and reapproach from the other direction (it looks to be an old road.) The parking lot is well lit so i wasn’t worried about my car or my safety at night. The Sleep Inn management seems very conscientious about everything and that’s unusually great for this price range of cut-rate hoteliers. Have a peaceful night and enjoy your stay. This place is a keeper.

The hotel itself was not bad considering it is an older hotel. Clean enough but needs new carpet and there are marks on the wall. Also there is no pool. I was there for 4 days and they never picked up my trash or gave me new towels the whole time I was there. But the main reason I will not go back there is the inconvenience of getting out of the parking lot to go where I need to go. It is right on a main highway with the driveway coming out on a side road. The have a barrier up so that you can't turn left coming out of the hotel. You have to go way out of your way to get where you're going if it involves going left. Same goes for when you come back to the hotel. You have to go way past it and turn around. VERY INCONVENIENT!!

I had never stayed in a Sleep Inn before so I was leery. However, me and my family were really impressed with it. Their free breakfast was very good - best sausage patties and eggs from a hotel free breakfast we had ever had. The place was clean, comfortable and a good amount of gas stations and restaurants around. There was some construction going on which made it a little difficult to get in and out of the parking lot, but that is not on them. We will definitely stay in a Sleep Inn again and if we are in Gulf Port again, we will stay at this one.

This was a terrible experience. We arrived after traveling all day at 6:00 p.m. My room was not ready until 10:00 p.m. This was due to it not being ready. And they finally said it was ready it was still dirty. They offered me a $30 refund over two rooms and I spent over $350. Will never stay here again.

Staff not accommodating at all. We arrived at 12:30pm and went in to see if it was possible to check in early due to our early arrival into Gulfport. We were told no due to rooms being cleaned and them being short staffed. Ok no problem. So we came back at 3:45pm and were told that we couldn’t check in until 4:00pm. Ok so we wait until 4:00pm and go back to the desk where there was no one at the desk to check us in. After about 10 minutes of standing at the desk (other people were also waiting) someone finally came to the desk to check us in. The hallways look like they haven’t seen a vacuum in a very long time and there were no trash cans anywhere in the room or bathroom. There was also a homeless man sleeping in his car in the parking lot next to the dumpster (he was there when we arrived at 12:30pm and was there every time we came and went) up until we checked out. Will never stay here again.
