Super 8 by Wyndham Portland Airport

The woman who checked us in was very nice and helpful with questions. The room was clean . Next morning shower didn’t work the knob was stuck on the hottest temperature. Unable to shower . Let front end manager know with out muck concern . We’re gone by 8 for airport

Room was clean, bed slept well. AC did not work, thankfully window opened so we could get some cool air as we did not want the hassle of trying to change rooms after long day of travel.

Hotel could use a lot of updates. Water pressure was average, lots of rust in the bathroom in bathtub and sink. Towels were great and very clean. Beds were comfortable. We couldn’t get the TV remote to work even after going to the front desk. Our key cards kept deactivating daily so it was a hassle to get new keys made every day. We didn’t use the refrigerator or the microwave so I’m sure if they worked. Limited lighting in the room. Wall unit air seemed to work fine. The Wi-Fi worked pretty well while we were in the room. Vending machines were out of order the entire week we were there and the breakfast was very limited to bananas, yogurt, and cold cereal. There was a bit of a language issue with the staff, and my daughter and I. The ice machines seem to work well. There was plenty of parking.

The hotel is generally very good. The hotel is very clean. The service is very good, especially the shuttle bus to the airport. The only thing might need improvement is the breakfast. It is just too simple, with only oatmeal, energy bar, juices, and banana.

Front desk service was poor. The man checking us in was not polite or knowledgeable. Wished I had paid more to stay elsewhere. Location was fine, but shuttle runs 4a-2a so be mindful if you have a red-eye flight that you may need to find different transport. Room was clean enough. “Blackout” shades did not black out the bright lights from parking lot. There is a portable crib available but not everyone at the front desk knows about it, apparently. Took over an hour and the man at the desk was incredibly rude about it even though I had called to confirm the day before that it would be available.

If you’re looking for cheap, dirty, and unsafe, this is the hotel for you. The room smelled, the bed was dirty, the air conditioner looked like it had been drug through the mud and back. Homeless drug addicts tweaking in the parking lot. I was desperate. Never again.

The staff and service at this Super 8 was excellent! They went out of their way to help. Really appreciated the airport shuttle availability (until 2am!) and the affordable onsite, long-term parking! The bathroom was apparently renovated recently and is very neat and modern; I would recommend a grab bar in the shower, however. The negatives aren't huge but make a difference in the overall rating: no elevator, the bed is on wheels and moves; blankets & sheets are in need of replacement (burn hole in my bedspread, small stain on my sheet and the blanket was "pilly" and had little dots of stuff on it that wouldn't come off) desk, office chair and nightstand are very worn out and the bedside lamp really needs to offer a plug and/or port for charging devices. Had I not booked through Expedia and gotten a decent price, I might have been upset with the quality of the room. The Super 8 is quite pricey for what they offer when booking direct with them.

Fine for one night stay. Close to airport.

Not nearly as nice as pictured. Lots of homelessness around the area and seems like it would be an hourly hooker hotel or good place for drug addicts. Could not wait to leave. We had a flight delayed and was one of the only close options to the airport. Stay at the Sheraton for an extra $50.
