I am so glad that my stay here is over. I booked something cheap to see my brother graduating bootcamp so I wasn’t too worried cuz I wouldn’t be in the room much but what the heck. The maintenance guy was watering the plants like all day long my first night & i seen him wearing a Coleman moving company shirt so I assume that had something to do with him??? No parking at night due to the rented out parking lot & just overall a sketchy area. If I ever need to go to that part of San Diego again, I will be avoiding this place. Top it off… my mom’s door lock batteries died & they wanted them to stay in another room till the morning… had to fight with them because his medication was locked in their room. Water in the rooms took forever to heat up. They had to turn the boiler up. Good grief.

For the money we payed this place was great! It’s right in the middle of everything with plenty of food establishments a short walk away. Every attraction we wanted to visit was less than 20 minutes away. We got fresh towels every day and the parking is free! I would definitely recommend this place. Just remember it’s a simple place to stay with great value!

rude tattooed and indifferent front desk clerk no telephone, spotty internet horrible customer relations lazy indifferent never once apologized for lack of service and never checked in to see if the situation was better i guess anyone can run a travellodge if you have the money to buy one

For a 2 star hotel, I really have no complaints. It is in the direct path of the planes taking off and landing, but given I was basically only there to sleep, I got used to it. We did have a lot of knats in the room, but we were directly behind a strip mall with dumpsters as well. It is very central to many tourist spots so you don't have to travel far to go see your favorite places (Balboa Park, Seaport Village, Old Town...).

They have a problem with flies in their rooms. We spoke with another traveler in passing who was also dealing with the same issue. Smelled strange, had to buy my own air freshener as soon as we arrived. Wouldn’t stay again but the staff was very nice.

noisy bed, many homeless people around, maintenance for the building required. Nevertheless its location is very convenient, close to the airport, Balboa park, trolley stations and a few restaurants and shopping places like ROSS near by.

Good price and a quick Uber ride to the airport. Comfortable

I was pleasantly surprised. I needed a room close to the airport, and with a citywide convention in town, most hotels were outrageously expensive. Staff was great, my room was huge, and the beds and pillows were VERY comfortable. It was very basic as far as furniture and amenities, but priced as such as well. I would stay again.

Stayed there last year as well - not much had changed. Excellent wi-fi & TV. Convenient to everything I wanted to do. No continental breakfasr howver, even thos the office apparently once had it. Quiet when the jets weren't flying (roughly 1030 PM - 7 AM). No rowdy guests.
