Golden Host Resort - Sarasota

It was an amazing stay the best hotel ive stayed at so far on my trip from friendly and helpful staff to cool clean rooms and great atmosphere great pool great bar !!! 🍸 i booked here 1 nught and stayed for two if we wasnt traveling down the coast i would of stayed longer love love love this place bliss 💕

We needed an assessable room and reserved one. We would like to give you some ideas for people who need assessable living space. 1. We need a firm bed. Our bed was way too soft. We need to be able to push off of the bed to transfer to a wheelchair. 2. We need a shower that we can use as well as our caregiver. The shower head needs to be on a slide as well as to be able to hand hold. 3. We need Handicap parking with a ramp. I have this hotel 5 stars because they tried. There was no handicap parking. We had to do a step up get on the sidewalk. It’s not too high but high enough to make it a problem for wheelchair use. Yes, it could be better. But you guys put some thought into it and tried to accommodate people who needed assessable living. Associates were very helpful and professional. We enjoyed our stay.

This motel is recently redone and very cute! The room was clean with lots of space. The pool area and cabanas were nice and relaxing. Having the tiki bar on site was a huge plus and great for people that like to drink because they can stay right there. The location is awesome for everything in Sarasota. It took less than 5 minutes to get to the Ringling Museum and 10 minutes or a little more to the beaches. Highly recommend the McCurdys Comedy Club which is also close. Watch the sunset at the performing hall on the water if there is open parking. Yoders Amish Restaurant and Speaks Clam Bar are our restaurant suggestions. Enjoy!

Pictures seemed nice but when arrived the room was not very clean. Smelled like weed in the parking lot. The ac was super loud and the door rattled every time a car drove by. Definitely should have just payed more to stay somewhere else.

We were very happy with all the accomodations and the premises were very quiet and peaceful which was great after an exhausting flight. Thank you!

Close to airport

Very clean and neat. Just as an FYI, it's a 20 minute drive to the nearest beach, Lido Beach. I loved Lido Beach. It has free parking and a true beach snack bar. It also has beer and wine for sale.

The pool area is nice, front desk staff was nice. Sheets on the bed were damp and struggled getting them changed. When they did get changed a black bug was in them. I broke up one argument myself between someone staying there and another guy who wasn’t, guessing a drug deal. 20 minutes later the cops showed up for something else and were in the parking lot for 20 minutes. This isn’t in the safest location. Light in the parking lot flickered like a Halloween flasher that the curtains wouldn’t shut out along with the heater in the room making weird noises made sleeping not easy. I have video that I wish I could post. Getting out of the parking lot is nuts, the traffic is like an interstate. You have to turn right and then do a u-turn if you want to go south.

Centrally located . Nice pool area. Oldest tiki bar in the state of Florida is on site. No elevator. 2 flight walk up. Coffee machine broken.

We liked the hotel but did not appreciate all the loud music late at night as we were there to catch an early flight and it was very difficult to sleep.
