Staying at Quality Inn Sarasota @ Lido Beach is an awesome experience
. Free breakfast is a plus, also the pool is very nice. Customer service as well as our room cleanliness is excellent. We have lots of parking space and there is always available.

We were able to check in early. The room was nice & clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. Only stayed one night as we had an early flight the next morning. Unfortunately too early for their breakfast. Highly recommend it.

It was a some what of a comfortable stay. A lot of banging, yelling and noise. The nightstands and tv stand was sticky. Couldn’t get the flyer off the tv stand to read it. The bathroom toilet gurgling at random times at night was weird. The staff was respectful and helpful though. And when you turn on the shower there was a burning smell.

Pros - affordable for Sarasota area, ease of getting around, and a better breakfast than I expected. Cons - old beds dipping in the middle, outlets sparking if you plug in cords (outlet by bed doesn’t even work), filthy floors (do they ever mop??), and worst of all, a nasty bug on the bed after we came back from breakfast. We will stay elsewhere next time.

This hotel looked nice online. Once there, we checked in via a video monitor. The clerk did not speak clearly due to an accent and explained the process poorly. She gave us no information on parking or how to access our room. The property needed cleaned & was in disrepair. The curtain Rod in our room was bent. The doors to the office and our room were very dirty.

The check in was virtual…no live person on the property. Because of the agents accent and the background noise, she was extremely difficult to understand.
There was people everywhere, not sure if they were guests at the hotel or not. Many folks gathered in various areas in the parking lot and on the space outside the room smoking.
It did not fell like a safe environment. We checked out and left without even staying in the room.

On arrival there was no one on the desk. Had to use a machine. Person was on the screen. Time consuming and very impersonal. Had to scan in ID. Leave credit card as deposit then the machine gave us a key card for the room. We asked where the room was and were told turn right as you go out the door. The room was upstairs and it was to the left!
The door had been broken in to at some point. Bad repair job. The room was clean but there were loose light sockets, a massive crack in the sink and the sprinkler was hanging off the roof. As it was only a stopover it served the purpose but we would not stay there again.
We went out to get something to eat about 7.30pm and found only 2 subways. Both of which were closed. We ended up buying crisps and juice from a petrol station. Not ideal for an evening meal especially after a long flight and drive.
No staff on the desk at checkout had to use the machine again. Entered room number, confirmed name, entered key card into a slot, asked if we paid a security deposit which we had. No option to enter yes or no at this point. Then machine said goodbye.

Check in was pretty good considering it was by kiosk. Free breakfast was nice. There was a large group of young people there for both nights for a "formal" night and they gathered outside in the parking lot or stairway. Their music was loud, but we could only hear them when they were directly outside our room. In the future I would stay somewhere else when a group of people that size were staying there.
