Grand Beach Resort Hotel

The staff is not engaged, welcoming nor seem to care about customer service. Reminded me of Walmart employees. The tiny flying bugs just kept coming into our room even with our sliding doors shut. Maybe coming through the vents?

We went to TC for vacation and was there for the National Cherry Festival. Hotel was clean and staff was very friendly. The hotel is about 10 minutes from downtown TC so had to drive in yourself since there was no shuttle. Parking at night especially if it was after 10 was tricky do to a lot of the spots being taken and had to park on the other side of the hotel twice. Overall it was a great stay and would stay there again.

On the beach but a little bit far from TC. Room refreshed only after 3 nights. If you want clean towels or other supplies (toiletries, coffee, cups, etc, you have to ask. Room was good size with a sofa, coffee table, extra sink by mini fridge and a small patio. View of the parking lot. For $300/night there are better options.

An error was made when I made the reservation; I requested a water side room and was given a parking lot, handicapped room. After a call to the desk, I was told that nothing could be done. Later that evening, at dinner, I received a call telling me that there was a cancellation and they’d move my belongings. The second room was perfect. I wish I could give you the name of the young lady who helped me on Friday afternoon, May 3rd. My thanks to her. Parking was a problem.

First room we we in, the vanity sink had backed up and whatever backed up had dried onto the sink. Second room we were in, the tub drain wouldn’t drain and you stood in 3 inches of water. I took the plug section out and pulled massive disgusting glob of hair out. Finally draining. The bottom of the lid to the ice bucket was moldy. Complained to front desk and asked to be moved to a better room with a view for our troubles. Was told all those rooms were full. 20 cars in the parking lot and probably 40 rooms with a view. I guess a number of guests just walked to the hotel. Pictures are deceiving. Breakfast arrives to your room in a box! Pool and hot tub were not operating and no previous information given. Was told we could use the pool next door. ????

They need a shuttle for casino and downtown

Very disappointing stay here. Check in was easy and the staff member was great. View was great from our room. We were woken at 5am with no heating whatsover and a draft blowing in from the outside as the seals were not great on the sliding door. We then discovered there waa no power at all (surprised the hotel had no generator) and couldn't see anything in our room. Front desk merely shrugged his shoulders and said we have no power. "Breakfast" was then delivered but couldn't be eaten as it needed to be heated and of course no power. We couldnt have a ahower and as it turns out,becausewe couldn't see anything have left a bag in the room that we will never see again. On checkput we were not offered any compensation whatsoever for this atrocious stay. We travel to Traverse with and without family at least 3 to 4 times a year and we won't stay at this property again. Mostly because of the poor customer service. There are many other great hotels in the area.

We were told we could have a top floor room a week before we came. When we arrived this room was apparently NOT available. The noise from any number of different parts of the hotel kept us from sleeping properly. I would not stay here again and we travel to many parts of the world on a regular basis.

parking sucks and the breakfast is a joke Very pricey 350 a night and not hot breakfast

The location on the Bay is perfect. It was cold when we were there in October so we didn't spend time on the beach, per se, but the view was great. I can only imagine the convenience in the summer. Our room was clean and comfortable. They don't clean during your stay unless requested but will provide you with anything you need. Nice indoor pool and hot tub. Breakfast is "ok" as it is a boxed breakfast but you get to choose between different boxed options. Coffee is present if desired but Keurig only in the room and lobby with little options for either cream or sugar. Even though we had waterfront accomodations the parking filled up fast and a choice room required somewhat of an inconvenient traipse through the property. Overall would definitely return.
