Ramada by Wyndham Abbotsford

This hotel was disgusting. Balcony door didn't even lock on the second floor. This was a shared balcony. The room as very run down and also had a large fly issue inside. I would avoid this place and stay elsewhere.

Not impressed at all! Lady at front desk made me feel like I was an inconvenience checking in, not the least bit friendly. Hotel shows it had a restaurant but website does not say it closes early in the day. (this is one of the things I look for in a hotel for convenience) Walls and doors have paint chips so looks ratty! The only good thing was it was close to airport.

there were smokers in the parking lot outside the hotel with a few metres of the air conditioning intake for my room. Too hot to NOT have the AC on but the room was filled with cigarette smoke. Not a good nights sleep.

Found this hotel very run down and the front staff counter not overly friendly. The pool was not heated so it felt like a glacier lake going into it. The hot tub was not working or filled. The overall look was dirty and run down. I would not stay here again. Also the parking lot was full of homeless wandering through it or sleeping around it. There printer was not working so couldn’t even get a receipt and tried many times to get them to email one to different email addresses and never did receive one.

I was so surprised how empty the parking lot was, i thought maybe it was closed. The lobby was ok, but i think the young lady had too much heat, she seemed pretty miserable. Except for the main door to the suite(frame needs adjustments, hard to open and close) the room was very nice, clean and the AC made it a very pleasant sleep. I was a little sad the restaurant was closed at 3:00 pm and i had to go elsewhere to eat. The same goes for the breakfast, which is at 7:00 am and i had to go elsewhere.

At check in they asked for out name and the booking when shown she said oh it’s Expedia and proceeded to send us to the dumpiest room. Didn’t even ask for ID or vehicle type or even a deposit. It wasn’t full but by morning the parking lot was jammed full. We arrived at 21:30 which was relatively late. The door wouldn’t shut without pushing heavily on it. The rooms smelled like it had been smoked in recently. They offered breakfast went down at 8:30 and all that was left was someone half of a muffin, cereal no milk, no creamer or milk for coffee. Ramada has lost this customer.

I didn’t even end up staying here the building was so run down and disgusting, the people outside were puking in the parking lot. Would not stay.

The good: The staff were super friendly and willing to help anytime I asked them something. The sheets and towels were clean and smelled like bleach so you know they were clean. The sink and counter were also clean. I did not mention my concerns to the staff as I was hardly at the hotel due to meetings. If I had I think they would have tried to solve these issues. The TV had a number of channels. The bad: The bathtub looked dirty with greyish sides and the non-slip floor looked gross beside the rusty drain. I ended up showering at good life gym. The hallway fire door that went outside to additional units was left open and it was noisy during the day. The light in my room was flickering a lot. The carpets had seen better days and I left my slippers on in the room. The neutral: I did not use the gym or pool while staying here but they looked nice. The breakfast just included Costco items. I needed to shorten my trip by 1 night and I was advised that no refund would be given due to the no refund policy. Overall it's an okay place to stay but I will likely stay somewhere else next time around as newer looking hotels are just 10-15$ more per night even though they are slightly further away from Abbotsford airport.

The stay suited my purpose, a canceled flight necessitating an overnight stay. The room was well laid out, and the bed was clean and comfortable. The room was 'dated', with dirt/marks on the carpet, a well worn desk and combination bureau/microwave stand. The fan/light switch to the bathroom was broken and stuck in the 'ON' position.. The drapes were worn//torn/partially detached.

It was just ok. Stayed for 2 nights for an event at TradeX. Good location for that venue; is a short drive. The room was dirty. The carpet in this hotel is nasty. They need to rip it all up. The rubber mat in the tub was dirty, also the tub took an hour to drain after one short shower. The doors into this hotel are all broken and tampered with. During the day there were homeless people hanging out in the parking lot. This hotel did not feel safe. Anybody can gain access to the rooms. The key cards for the doors barely work. You have to try over and over again just to get in your room. I would not recommend this hotel.
