Sandman Hotel Abbotsford Airport

Was told check in was not to 4pm but there were 4 other groups which just landed at the airport and wanted to checkin as well. Clerk did check us in but begrudgingly. I travel a lot and 4pm check in is ridiculous especially when trying to attract airport traffic. Sink in bathroom sprayed so hard it got everything around it wet.

Sukh and Siju/ Soji were so kind and helpful! Everyone that works there is always great. We fly in from New York often and always choose to stay here!

The parking was horrible. There was an option to park in the back BUT it is locked at night time. My head board and bunk frame was horrible. It was not in the image when booking.

We arrived after a long day of travelling from Calgary, my son was fooling around on the bed I was sitting on and then said he smelled pee, we pulled the top comforter back and sure enough there was a big yellow mark on the bed, it smelled like dog pee so we talked to the manager and they didn’t have any cleaning crew on site and our only option was to discount the room not use that bed for a night give us an additional room to accommodate half our room guests and they would have our room cleaned the next morning which was fine. We asked that the room guests not be disturbed until 1 PM as agreed upon with the manager for check out of the additional room, they were woken up 4 times by crews trying to enter their room from 10:30 am. The carpet was so gross your shoes stuck to the floor and the bathroom had mold on the shower, under the rim of the sink, and around the overflow valve. The cleaning staff was horrible and rude, as well as some of the front desk staff, but the managers were nice and did comp us again for the inconvenience of having the mold in the room and having to have them come back to clean the room. The cleaners came a second time to clean the bathroom when our older children were there and told our kids we were too picky on the cleanliness of our room and had too high of standards. We will not be booking to stay at this hotel again due to the lack of cleanliness.

Spacious parking, mall walking distance. Room itself seemed pretty clean, but washroom on the other hand not so much - sink was all moldy. Weird thing with TV - for whatever reason someone thought it’s a good idea to override “turn off” buttons function - it was either leaving you with green screen or turning on TV. Had to call reception to understand how to turn it off. The biggest problem for me though was soundproofing which was very poor - could hear every car passing by on 2 major roads nearby the hotel. Didn’t have much rest because of that.

Overall wasn’t terrible. The property is at a good location close to tons of shopping/food within a minutes walk. The hotel looks fairly nice inside and out and on the surface. But could definitely use a deep clean. Was surprised by hardly any highway noise being so close too. The lobby smells heavy of the pool chemicals and rarely anyone to great you at the check in desk in passing. Overall, I’ve had better but certainly had worse. If I had to come through again I’d likely stay just due to the near by amenities and short drive to the airport

Great place to stay Little tricky getting into the parking lot hotel

Very busy traffic area, but that's due to it's proximity to the highway. Also very close to the Abbotsford airport. Lots of food choices and entertainment at the mall nearby. Staff here are very nice. Hot tub and pool were small but adequate and convenient to the lobby. 24 Denny's attached to the property is a bonus as well.

Close to the Abbotsford airport. Good breakfast. Rooms were clean. Downside was Roku tv only no live tv.

Great location for the airport, starbucks just off the road and right off the highway. Staff were great, bed was comfy and good pillows.
