Should be more accessible parking

Room and hotel was very clean. Breakfast was very good. Relatively convenient. Only downside was parking at night.

Open late and great service. Very friendly and helpful for a tired traveller.

The room and facilities were very nice and clean and the service was good. During the night at around 2 pm young adults were racing around the parking and screaming and yelling for over an hour disturbing our sleep. Night person said he didn't hear anything.

When checking in we explained that my boyfriend was in town for major surgery at the Comox Hospital and requested a room close to the elevator. We were given a room on the ground floor that was easily accessible. We were pleased with this until the next day; the room was at the back across the alley from a construction site. It was noisy all day and not at all restful. The day of the operation I arrived back at the hotel at 8:30 in the evening and could not find a parking spot. I pulled into the check-in zone and went to speak to the desk clerk. I was told that there was a tournament in progress and they took up all the parking but it would be done around 9:30. I was offered no alternative (or apology). When I asked for an alternative, the desk clerk asked if I had checked the side for parking; there was no parking at the side. I felt like I was just expected to come back in a hour. I was exhausted and extremely disappointed with this situation.

After an early start and a long day travelling, the close proximity of The Westerly to the ferry port at Little River, Comox, was a welcome relief. Quite easy to find, following the main roads out of Little River and joining up with highway 19A into Courtenay. After passing over the river bridge, a short distance to a right hand turn-off into Riverside Lane and the hotel car park entrance is a short entrance off to your left. Check in was very efficient and the lady on reception was welcoming and helpful. The restaurant located in the hotel only serves breakfast, which was a good mix of hot and cold buffet style food choices, all self service. Adjoining the hotel complex is the Flying Canoe West Coast Pub, which serves traditional pub favourites like burgers, wood-fired pizzas & wings, plus beer! We would definitely stay here again.

Check in was quick and easy. Room is clean and comfy. Convenient parking and lots of food options close by.

No parking when I got back to the property at 9:30 Friday night. Big groups of rowdy young people. When I finally found a parking spot at the back of the building. I felt unsafe as a woman alone. Arrived to my vehicle in the morning with beer cans everywhere.

This property is lovely. Lots of indigenous art. Beds were comfy, rooms clean. Lots of dining options right nearby. Wood fire pizza from the flying canoe (attached) was great and a $5 coupon slid under our door. Staff was friendly. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was great with sunny room.

Nice hotel overall, and the breakfast is very much better than we've normally seen in Best Western properties. However, it's a bit tricky to find the reception area. No signage on that part of the set-up; and the photo that's shown to the left, is where we thought we'd find reception. Not so: it's on the other side of the parking area where there's no signage and the building does NOT look like a BW property. I'm hoping the hotel will fix this issue!
