Super 8 by Wyndham Prince George

They leave a yellow rubber duck in every bathroom, a surprisingly welvome gift after a day of driving. Had the pool been open our stay would have been closer to perfect, but if you have traveled by car in BC it will not surprise you to know that we heard "our pool is not yet open for the season," or similar excuses, at all 4 places we stayed, even though they had not bothered to tell expedia the news. Still, we liked oour stay, and the front desk staff were among the friendliest we have seen anywhere.

The hotel felt very average, besides for the fake jungle aesthetic inside, the room was standard. Shower wouldn't stay warm for very long though. Additionally, the parking lot needs maintenance as it’s very rough and the pavement has areas that could be patched up. I did not eat the free breakfast, but the options available for it were lacklustre for the price of the room. Overall, if the place was priced a little less I probably would have given it a better score; but it was overall average and was not much different from other places that are cheaper than it.

Terrible experiance. I called Super 8 motel switchboard and spoke to someone. I was told all rooms are pet friendly. I booked a suite for 1 night. At check in, i was told the switchboard operator is wrong. The room is not pet friendly. This has happened many times before and they keep telling customers the entire hotel is pet friendly when they only haven10 rooms pet friendly. There is no other pet friendly rooms available. The employee called his manager and said they would let us stay in the room with the animals except it would cost an extra 50.00 per dog. We had two. I was so angry. To hear this happens all the time and yet nothing is done. I had a very long day and was travelling with 4 children. One of which was an infant. We decided not to stay there, we were so frustrated at the horrible customer service and unwillingness to make it right as it was there error.

Booked it thinking that there was a pool and hot tub traveling with kids and discovered that there were zero amenities.

Was travelling solo with my 4 week old, stayed on the second floor. Was not overly happy with the fact there’s no elevators and I had to haul everything up in one go. And there’s no automatic doors either so while holding all luggage, after walking up stairs with my arms completely full, I had to struggle to open the door to get to the hallway to my room. Otherwise, the room was clean and quiet. Complimentary breakfast was quite sad, a small selection of prepackaged items but for the room rate I didn’t expect much. The staff was fairly friendly to deal with. I would stay again but request a room on the first floor for sure.

The building interior is dirty and stained, particularly the carpet. Though my room was not carpet, it was apparent that this floor was also not cleaned. Many room amenities were broken or missing (one queen bed had broken centre legs so the bed dipped, the freezer thawed overnight leaving a pool of water, the toilet seat was loose). There was no microwave or recycle bin, as advertised. The sheets seemed clean, but the floors were not. The bathroom fan was dusty, as were the baseboards. Hair was found throughout the room. There were loose sunflower seeds in a dresser drawer. The pool was very cold, the hot tub out of commission (and appeared to have been out of service for awhile though still advertised as an amenity), I did not find the advertised sauna. The on-site restaurant was also shut down. The advertised "breakfast" consisted of a brown paper bag which contained a sole granola bar, fruit cup and juice box. It certainly isn't a buffet or continental, as advertised. I appreciate the free parking, free WiFi, and the availability of pet-friendly rooms. However, cleanliness is subpar.
