B&B Hotel Weil am Rhein/Basel

Clean, noon checkout time which is lovely. Bed comfortable and good location for going to Basel without the price of Basel. Would stay again. Covered parking below the hotel with is fab and keyless entry to room

When searching for somewhere to stay, it would be helpful if the word “Germany” was added to Weil am Rhein and not “Basel/Weil am Rhein” The map did not clearly show the border. Having said that, I paid 45 Swiss Francs for a 7km trip in a taxi (that’s close to $90 AUD) from Basel Train Station. The taxi from Germany back to Basel Railway Station was 30 euros. I found being opposite Rhein Centre and close to some good restaurants very good.

Great choice for short stay. Safe parking, easy access by rail to Basel.

This hotel has a nice modern feel. You can check in with the kiosk and there are no key cards for the rooms. You just need a code to unlock the room. There is an underground parking garage, but it is small with maybe 10 spaces. There is also a large parking garage across the street at the Rhein Center. The rooms are small but beds are comfy. The listing said there was no elevator but thankfully there is an elevator. It is pet friendly with some grass outside the building. The hotel is across the street from a tram stop into the center of Basel and to the Basel train station. We used the tram the entire time we were here since it’s so convenient.

Excellent new hotel, perfect for overnight stay, right next to a shopping mall, convenient for grabbing a quick bite. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The only downside is the very limited parking space (more than 90 rooms with only about 12-15 parking spaces), so if you are not one of the super lucky ones to arrive early, you'll have to leave the car on the street. Maybe the hotel has already looked into this, but one option could be to have a deal with the shopping mall and allow overnight car parking there, would be really appreciated

Fine hotel for not more than 1 night when traveling to Switzerland or Italy from the North. No staff at reception at late evening and night, but check-in machine worked fine for us. Beds were OK, pillows were way to thin for my taste. Didn't had breakfast at the hotel but the set up looked nice. Price around 80 euro a night seems fair for what you get
