Ramada by Wyndham Wellington Taranaki Street

Great reception staff, very friendly and helpful. Well organised out of hours key collection. Location great for walking to eateries and airport bus. Room comfortable with good aircon. Laundry facilities in room were ideal. Only small thing that I would change - can't see the tv from the bed.

This is a “downtown” hotel and comes as such. Overall everything inside the building was as expected with a very nice and spacious room for the cost. There is limited to little guest parking at a cost. Parking is less on the street or at the car park we were directed to but not convenient. Traffic noise is noticeable and lots of people of all sorts surround the area(again this is a downtown hotel) all amenities are within walking distance as well as to the waterfront. Overall good value but be prepared for the downtown experiences of little guest Parking, difficult lobby to check in and typical downtown traffic and local transients.

Nice location near ferry terminal and walking distance from Cuba street.

I enjoyed my stay at the Ramada Wellington. It is close to Cuba Street where there are numerous restaurants for various food choices. The hotel Does not have “in house” restaurant or bar services which I did not realize prior to travel but that was my fault in not checking it out. Again the close proximity to Cuba Street eliminated that as a concern. The hotel staff were fantastic and very helpful. The room I had was like a small one room apartment with a small kitchenette and the bathroom also had a washer and dryer. Tea, instant coffee and hot chocolate were provided along with mugs and utensils. While I generally prefer hotels with in house restaurant and bar services, I would stay here again

The room size was great with in room washer dryer, a plus. It wasn’t as clean as other places we’ve been but still fine. Front desk staff are very nice, parking on site but it is tricky to drive into. Little gym also

Room had very basic amenities. The washer and dryer was a nice addition. Besides that, a forgettable stay. Very limited on site parking was especially frustrating.

great room with kitchenette, bathroom complete with washing machine and dryer, comfortable bed, I was lucky to get one of the very few parking lots, busy road in the front, but hardly noise in the room

It is convenient easy walk into town plenty of eating options close by 5 min walk to Courtenay Place - all the facilities u need in the room including clothes washing only hassle is parking but good option less than 2 min walk down the road - only suggestion can’t see the TV from the bed need to have one on the wall & NO SPORT ON THE TV NEED SKY SPORT FOR RUGBY n SOCCER ETC ETC

Clean and well equipped room. Quiet and comfortable. As I haven’t travelled anywhere for over 12 years (I’m a carer for my dad) a few more instructions on check in would’ve helped me greatly. For example - the room key and how it needed to be used to access the lift and main door at night. The wifi password was also located in the room key folder but I wasn’t told. Plus basic directions to the lift etc. All in all my stay was wonderful. I have a lovely short break and am grateful to stay in such a lovely property. Thank you.

Friendly, helpful staff are a bonus to the location and vibe of the hotel. Well situated near trendy shops and tourist sites with an easy walk to the ocean boardwalk. Everything is wonderful except for the parking. If you have a car it will be a challenge finding reasonable rates for your car parking. Other than that - well worth the stay!
