Room was small but all we needed for a one night stay before catching an early morning flight. Staff were very friendly, spoke excellent English, and extremely helpful. Got several recommendations and directions for restaurants in the area and they arranged for transportation to the airport early the next morning. They even had a scale in the lobby so we could check the weight of our luggage after a week of sightseeing and shopping around the Algarve.

We wanted an overnight airport hotel. The Dom Bernardo suited admirably. It was very clean and functional. We did not take breakfast but tea and coffee were provided in the room and were replenished on request. The location was great, being able to walk to the shopping district, beach and eateries within 15 minutes.

Staff was great, easy walking to downtown, uphill on the way back (15 mins). There are only 7 parking stalls and they are all small. There is free parking behind the church a block away though.

Pros: good location, clean renovated rooms, friendly helpful staff, some free parking on site The main con for us was the wifi: we were a group of 4 and none of us could maintain any connection in the rooms (only the lobby) as it would cut in and out and didn’t connect at all to some devices. In 2022, good wifi is a basic requirement.

Very good choice out of tourist trap area(10 Min walk to harbour and stations) residential area with local restaurants at excellent prices. Friendly staff. About 20 euros taxi to airport don't bother with a bus too infrequent.
