West Bay Club

Facility was nice. Not close to all the restaurants. Had to take taxis everywhere. Staff at beach could use some improvement. I had to ask them for towels and they don’t come and ask if you want food or drinks. You have to go to the restaurant. This is a lost opportunity. They could have benefited from this financially if staff would round and pass out menus in thr beach. Giovanni and Rafaela were fabulous with our requests.he was at the front desk and she was our housekeeper. Not sure I would go back and that is why I gave staff 3 stars.

We spent 10 days at West Bay Club and we are already planning our return! We liked that it is smaller, therefore less crowded. Daily breakfast buffet included in price was quite good. Especially appreciated the housekeeping staff- they were very attentive and helpful. This property is not close to very many restaurants and not close to a grocery store so if you don’t rent a car you’ll need to do taxis (and taxis can be annoying and expensive). We were told that their sister property in Grace Bay is very similar to WBC and is very walkable to all the shops and restaurants in Grace Bay. We loved the beach at WBC- plenty of umbrellas and chairs set up, and attentive staff to help set up towels and bring refreshments. They had kayaks, hobicats, and paddle boards available free of charge. Excellent resort!

Property is infested with cochroaches, long wait times for staff to clean rooms. Inconvenient location, must take taxi everywhere. No activities on property. Bikes were limited to two for the entire property. Drinks are watered down. Overall waste of money.

I’m so happy I book west bay club! They help me when I needed it the most, I book a car thru Expedia with economy, which I don’t recommend to anyone, the car radio didn’t work, the seat was torn up and I got a flat tire because the tire was bald. I tried calling the car rental phone number on the contract but it didn’t work. i took a taxi back to the west bay club and told them I was having car issues they call the rental company and had the car repair immediately. They took care of my problem with a breeze. For that I was thankful. This is why I book great resorts like west bay 🙏 my resort room was amazing and the beach was 1 min walk. Will book west bay again for a peace of mind !

Just ok. Distant from restaurants and shopping. Breakfast non imaginative (except steamed vegetables?). Pastries not replenished when ran out. Broken tiles in room. Towels like sandpaper. Were treated better by staff when we went to WYMARA next door or Ritz Carlton (attentive/smiles). Check out at 1100 when all flights leave mid afternoon-couldn’t give us an hour more when paying so much.

Pros: parking on site, beautiful beach, comfortable beach chairs, rooms are big, house keeping came twice a day, staff was friendly Cons: no one was cleaning up the seaweed in the beach, 1 restaurant on site that was poor and not on the beach, no staff on the beach to serve drinks,

Very friendly staff and an excellent buffet breakfast. The property fronts onto west part of Grace Bay, which is quieter and less crowded than the main Grace Bay beach. Most of the sea, but not the beach, in front of the property is roped off to exclude motor boats and jet skis. A short walk along the beach is a protected coral reef which is teaming with fish and sometimes a juvenile shark visitor. There is no shopping within easy walking distance, but parking is free for guests, in a gated lot adjacent to building.

Nice place, with some caveats. This seems to be more of a condo/time share type place than a real resort, so services are limited. I found the staff at the front to be great at check in but questionable after that. Basically, they are not very knowledgeable about their own island. If you ask about excursions, they hand you outdated pamphlets and smile. They do their best to help but they are clueless. The cleaning crew for my room showed up at 5-6pm every day. VERY inconvenient if you're at the beach all day and that's when you are getting ready to go out to dinner. We told them but they still kept their schedule. HVAC in the unit was very loud and had a Nest thermostat which they told me the owner installed. The staff other than one maintenance person did not know how to use it. At first it seemed like the owners locked us out so we could not adjust it, but then we were able to figure it out with their guy's help. It's at the extreme end of where the various resorts are, so if you want to be where the action is, you have to drive or get a taxi. There is one restaurant on the property, or you can walk to the Wymara Resort next door, or walk a bit further to Somewhere Cafe. Other than that, it's pretty far to get food. The beach is beautiful, the staff at the beach is great, and the bar on the beach is nice although it runs 12-5pm only. There's one pool on the property. If you like quiet, this is the place for you. Time moves really slowly there.

We did not like the location and layout of the property. There was no ambiance or atmosphere, no music or lights in evening. There is nothing to do in the evening and nothing is walking distance. The pool is less than average. The price is too high for parking lot view room with loud noises
