The hotel was very good but when we went out one day. On getting back we went to the bus station. The staff at Holiday Inn told me to get a green bus and ask for Holiday Inn. But none of the bus drivers knew it. I tried three green bus drivers, and they all told me it was on Honiton Road. But that is another Holiday Inn & I had to get a taxi to get home in the end.

Very helpful staff. Great location. Comfortable beds and lovely linen. Really quiet room. Yummy breakfast too! Whole place punching well above it's 3-star grading. Only slight downside is the carpark which is owned by a parking company and cost £16 a day.

Perfect for our overnight visit to visit the university, on-site car parking was a blessing.

We stayed for the weekend & I have no complaints. The staff were polite & friendly. The free breakfast was great... lots of options. The room was clean & comfy. It's a short walk to the quay and lots of lovely restaurants and cafes. The parking is ideal & not too pricey. We would certainly stay again!

Was welcomed by the staff on my arrival. Unfortunately the hotel doesn't have on their page that you have to pay for parking when you get there as theyre situated in a public car park. £16 for 24 hours seems a bit steep to me but you can come and go as many times as you like once you have paid apparently. Staff were helpful when i asked them about directions to places. Breakfast was ok. Not one of the best I've had from a holiday inn. The orange and apple juice tasted a bit funny, but cant put my finger on why? Room was clean and comfy. The photos are after my stay, not when i got there. The parking charges put me off staying again though. Sorry.

Stayed for 2 nights (total of 40 hours in the car park) but had to pay for 3 days parking because of the absurd charging scheme. Payment must be made every time you leave the car park, so I paid £30 for the first 28 hours parking, left for 2 hours to go to a restaurant, and had to pay another £15 when I checked out the following day. So £45 for less than 2 days of parking - absolute joke. There should be a sign at the car park entrance saying "Thieves operate in this area"!!

Staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Having added an extra last-minute night before stay the staff on duty made it as easy as possible. Beds were very comfortable and overall place was very clean. Excellent position for walking along the canal, up into the main city centre and not far from either of the two train stations. University Northcott Theatre was a 30 min walk back (took a taxi to the Theatre as it's all up hill!) My only problem was that Dove is their brand choice of toiletries which I am allergic too so if you don't like Dove then I would advise bringing your own to save having to buy new when you arrive.

Good hotel. They should specify that it is £15/day for car parking in the public car park if you do not move your car for the 24 hrs.If you move the car in and out then you pay for how long you have stayed each time - so could end up >£15 in a 24 hr period
