Hotel has no parking. Drop off point in the Google map doesn’t take to the right place. Q park is the nearest best option.
Room big enough and clean. No a/c but fan is available.
Mo was excellent at desk and helpful. Being a Platinum member on Hotel. Com and Mo being very helpful allowed us to do late check out. Thx Mo.

The hotel was chosen for its location for St James's Park. However It was expensive. The rooms were too hot even on cool setting had to open the windows as it was overlooking the street it was too noisy. Beds were small but comfy. The breakfast was nice enough. The bar in the evening was ok if you like sports. Its surrounded by TV's. However if you want to chat its loud. The parking is in a bit of a shady area of town. We had to walk quite a way with clothes in dress bags and heavy bags and cases. Presents and cards. So not ideal if you have allot to carry. There were quite a few shady characters around had I not been with a group of people I would have felt intimidated.

Lovely quiet hotel. No air conditioning so it was a bit stuffy even with the window open. The hotel give a parking discount which was good

This is a nice hotel with very friendly staff. The family room had a fridge, microwave etc which was really handy. The window in the bedroom wouldn't shut so made for a noisy awakening from a building site across the road but when i mentioned it to the desk they gave me complementary parking. The only weird thing was the room advertises a safe big enough to fit a laptop. But this safe was in a wardrobe with sliding doors. The sliding doors didnt open enough to be able to open the safe door!! Overall a nice hotel - would stay again!

Very helpful reception staff who listened to my concerns.
However, the bathroom was dirty with hairs left in the shower and the room was freezing and I had to contact reception late in the night to put the heating on.
Some confusing information about parking as it was off -site in a multi-story car park and cost an extra £15.00 which was not indicated in the original price.

This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel but this time didn't match the previous 2 visits. The staff are fabulous and cannot be faulted for their friendliness which cannot be said for a lot of other hotels. The room I had this time was smaller than before but the bed was comfy. I could only find BBC channels on the TV (might just have been me though!!) and the remote control didn't work but was replaced when I advised reception.
The bathroom was very 'compact' with a shelf overhanging the toilet at head height and the toilet roll holder very close to the side of the toilet. The shower was ok and a good size but not very powerful but the most disappointing thing was that the heated towel rail wasn't working which meant the bathroom was pretty cold especially the tiled floor. When I reported this to reception I was told they weren't allowed to turn the towel rails on due to health and safety - seems ridiculous to me but then again H&S rules often can be.
The breakfast is a buffet and quite tasty but the room where you eat is very disappointing compared to the hotel itself as it's in a bar which is used as a sports bar later in the day.
Parking is subsidised but if you are only staying for 1 night you only get 24 hours parking which means you may have to move your car or somehow buy another ticket it you want to stay over the 24 hours - something to think about.
Overall it is a very convenient hotel and I did get a good rate for my stay.

Hotel was great, have used it many times however no drop off point agreed with local council so many trips to paid car park ( 10 minute walk each way)to load & unload car.I was told at reception on arrival and husband was told this by employee as he sat in car waiting for me that he may get parking ticket. On departure from hotel i was told at reception, when i spoke about situation, that it depends each day if visitors get 20 minutes grace to load/ unload cars. There needs to be a sign at back door of hotel stating this as I'm sure that I'm not the only returning customer caught out by this.It becomes an expensive trip if customers have to pay a parking ticket on top of £17 a day parking fee

Great location next to St James park and Newcastle centre, parking was easy and a short 3 min walk from the hotel (although it was £17 for 24hours at the NCP Gate). If you want a great location hotel, next to the metro station that connects you to the coast this is a great hotel.
We did enjoy the hotel, check in was great and lovely staff, very welcoming and helpful. They put us away from the lift to avoid noise which was great as they had a lot of guests staying for festivals.
The room was nice, however small and maybe had seen better days, slightly tired and in need of a bit of wall and bathroom TLC, but overall was clean.
We didn't pay for breakfast with our stay but was offered the change and to pay for breakfast upon check in which we took. Great selection of foods, clean location and loved the big screen TV's playing the women's netball whilst we had breakfast!
